It's been a while, hasn't it? A lot of things have happened since last dialog: a few weeks break (not by choice), the game's direction getting overhauled, and a couple more things that either boosted or slowed progress, but lets forget about all of that, and start talking about the game!

Okay so: EVERYTHING shown in the last devlog was completely scrapped, in fact, we started completely fresh and left that thing in its own little folder, forever rotting away (minus a soundtrack, thats staying). The reason for doing so is that we lacked the writing skill to sucessfuly make a game combining 2 AUs that on paper, would literally kill each other in an instant. Our new goal is to have a collection, with each AU as their own "game". It's a tad more ambitious, but it allows the game to not be halted by not knowing what to put there in the story
Anyways, you guys just want the numbers, don't ya? WELL HERE THEY ARE, GO MY FUNNY NUMBERS!!!
Coding: 5-10%: we kinda started the overhaul a few days ago, but that doesn't mean coding has been a large part of it. So far we have a basic intro, menu + one single setting (volume, cause idk what else to add :P), and a few rooms.
Sprite/Art: 40-50%: Pretty much all the assets for SP!Dust's Ruins are either fully done, or need a few minutes of improvement. Underswap's Ruins will be a tad different, but largely keeps the same style. In terms of monster sprites, uhhhhhhhh, yeah that'll be a difficult one, especially with the 2 1/2 spriters on the team currently.
Writing: 30%: While yes, we're taking bits and pieces (lmao) from the original/fanon story, this will be a slight reimagining. I won't go into detail as to not spoil, but SP!Dust in specific will have some unique things that affect the story.
Music: 2-10%: This is still kinda what we lack the most, and with one of our musicians on hiatus rn, there's only 2. As of right now, there is a Ruins theme partially done, and then some other stuff I think. (idk I get so many clips in the dev team GC idk if some are for the game or not lmao).

1: We are STILL hiring! Pretty much the same deal as last devlog
2. I now post daily updates on the official Discord server! I'll leave ya a link to that at the end of this, maybe it won't see it down there...
Okaaayyy, ONE. LAST. THING. IT'S TIME FORRRRR

It's kinda underwhelming, since I started game progress over again not too long ago, but that doesn't mean nothing exists!

This character has been a favorite in the community, and is canonical in SP!Dusttale. Seriously though, don't stare at it, or else you can't go back.

The tileset for both game's Ruins! Completely redone by yours truly!

The current menu, buttons will be custom made too, but I just haven't gotten to that yet.

uhhhhh, where's Toriel?

Another room. Most rooms are just touched up Ruins in SP!Dusttale. Once I get good progress on Underswap's Ruins, you'll see a truly reimagined Ruins.
