Devlog #2 - Settings Menu!

Some of the previous games in the series (like FNaTAS 6 or, more recently, 4 Remastered) had settings, but I don't think they had a separate menu dedicated to them. Welp, this game does!

And yes, as you can see, V2.0 will have a perspective effect during gameplay. For some weird reason, the original FNaTAS 5 was the only game in the entire series to not have any. It was kinda weird.

The effect I'm using for it looks really good but it messed up some things related to hitboxes. I'm currently trying to fix that. It's taking a while but thankfully it's not really that hard.

The scrolling option lets you choose between the "modern" and "classic" scrolling. The modern scrolling is the same one you've gotten used to from 1.0, and the classic scrolling is basically the typical scrolling you see in most FNaF fangames, where it "moves on its own" so to speak.

The Hud size option was a suggestion that I thought was fair enough. It makes Daisy's mood indicator and the flashlight's battery smaller so that they don't cover up as much of the screen.

If you wanna compare, here's how they look when it's enabled:

And finally, the menu theme option lets you choose between 2 different songs for the menu (duh). The first is the one used in 1.0, and the second is the one used in the original game when you 100%-ed it. It was removed in 1.0 because it was the same menu theme from Chronicles, which felt kinda weird to me, but I decided to bring it back cuz, why not????

I also wanted to add an option that would let you choose between the normal 4:3 and stretched 16:9 when in Fullscreen, but as far as I know, the only way to do that is with the Ultimate Fullscreen clickteam extension, however when I added the extension into the game it messed with some of the transition effects (I have absolutely no idea why) so I had to remove it.

I dunno, some people might find it dumb but I think having a lot of customization options is a good thing.

Btw, if you have ideas for any other settings, no matter how nitpicky they are, feel free to suggest them!!!! They're surprisingly fun to code, even if they take some time.

So... it's been a week and my "looking for programmer" post went pretty much unnoticed. I was kinda expecting that already.

It was pretty obvious I wouldn't find anyone by sitting around doing nothing but letting the time pass.

Y'know what? Screw it, one day early announcement because YOLO
