haha very cool gameplay screenshots Yes. anyway.
I decided to take time to write about what has been going with JA3. While we've been very secretive about the development, I wanted to open up some of the stuff that has been happening during this time.
So, without going into too many spoilers... We were practically just stuck multiple times due to some stuff not being finished in time, or the constant procrastination of the people involved. A lot happened in the time we've been making this game, and in retrospect I'm not entirely proud of it. I don't necessarily dislike the final product, but I had to accept these were the circumstances we had to deal with and I can't go back and start from scratch. It's simply not worth it.
I've learned a lot as a director, team leader, and developer during this time. We have a lot of plans for the future, and while again I'm not entirely proud of what we have... I am still, in a way, proud. This will likely be the first game in which I was a director and team leader to be released, and after so many years of canceled project, after canceled project, something that Jonathan's Adventure was entirely built off of, I'm happy. I know I'm talking to nobody (not like there's another guy that does this too. you know who, maybe), but whoever comes across this and enjoys it, and gives me constructive criticism on what I could've improved on. I already know some stuff I could've done better, but perhaps someone out there can help me realize something I didn't.
So, what have we done? Well, the game is practically finished. Not without some balancing issues, which has been driving the testers insane. Very insane. As of me writing this, the latest build hasn't been tested yet. It just released a few minutes ago. I'm hoping we are closer to get this issue done for, and release it for the public to enjoy.
There's only one way to go out now. 'till next time!
