Can you notice how many things are wrong with this video?
Yeah, I was just messing around, testing the game and then boom, I found this bug.
I knew using the original game's source code as a base for this would be a bad idea. It's been giving me sooooo many problems.
The reason this happens is because the game makes the hitbox for going to the F1 rooms available for some time while moving from room to room in F2. I'm not sure why, but oh well, I'm already working on fixing it.
And yes this is something that could happen in 1.0 and even the original FNaTAS 5. It somehow went unnoticed until now (as far as I know.)
I also tried coding a new mechanic for the Jester to not make him as much of a pushover. I actually finished it and it worked fine when I tried it on its own... but when I tested it with other characters active, it turned out to be very buggy, so I had to change it back to the original one. It was quite a bummer.
What was this new mechanic you may ask? Well, I can't talk about it as of now, because it gave me an idea for a completely new general mechanic that I think will be very interesting, and I don't wanna spoil it just yet. But you'll find out soon enough.
In other, much better news... I managed to completely fix the flashlight turning on and off on its own when moving to a different room!
That's something I guess...
The reason it even happened in the first place was due to leftover code from the original. It works a lot better now. You don't have to "fight" with it anymore to keep it in the state you want to.
What did I have to do to fix it? Well uh... write the worst line of code anyone has ever written.
(This is such a mess, wow.)
The settings for toggling it have also been coded in, so now you can toggle it with left click as usual, but also with right click and the ctrl key. Pretty nice
Btw, remember when I talked about posting a big teaser and revealing all of 2.0's new features a while ago, in the first devlog? Well, it's coming very soon! In the spooky day, to be exact. You know the one ;)
