Since I've become a Gamejolt creator, I figured it will be worth it keeping you updated on the game even when small progress has been made. But truth is, the main gameplay (not the whole game) is 90% done!
I coded the last character's AI in a matter of 3/4 days, and that wasn't a simple mechanic at all but... I managed to do it, and I am actually surprised by this a lot. To think back when I first got Clickteam, I couldn't even code simple mechanics like FNaF 1 Bonnie and Chica's, but now I can do even more than that. To you that might not seem that big of a deal, but damn, that's incredible to me!
Aside from that, the game is still sitting in a stable position. The only thing left for me to do now is drawing this character seriously, because I really don't think you would like to see this when playing the game:
Or maybe you do? I could seriously think about leaving it in the game haha.
Jokes aside, these are obviously the mock-up drawing for the last character. I usually do this so I can start coding right away to finish things faster and luckily, it helps a lot! If you're considering making a game, make sure to use placeholders as much as you can before polishing it. I know that's kinda the basics for game development but still, I want to give some advice :).
Did you see how I mentioned a contest? No? You don't care? Too bad then... I guess you don't want a free access to Repainted in Gold's exclusive demo... :(.
But for those who care: the base premise is making at least one RIG's character in 3D! It's that simple! And once the contest is over (1 month starting from now) the best looking models will be showcased in a post and the winner(s) will receive, as I said earlier, the most epic demo of all time!
To enter the contest officially, make a post here on the Repainted in Gold's Gamejolt community with the tag #goldencontest and boom, you're in (make sure to post your models alongside it).
And with that, I'll see you guys in the next devlog. I'm expecting a lot from you all :D.
(I was bored in class so I drew this totally 100% canon interactions between Springbonnie and the suit).
