So yeah, as you guys can see, weβre cooking up some new locations for the game π
And YES, this is for Rebuilt Minds, not Rebuilt 2: Rerebuilt (lol)
Anyway, small dev talk time: the game used to run at 144 FPS. Sounds great, right? Well... not really. Turns out that for people with average PCs not even low-end ones, the framerate dropped to around 60β80 FPS.
And because Clickteam is such a lovely (ancient) engine, some events are tied directly to the framerate. Meaning: fadeouts, transitions, all that good stuff took twice as long.
So yeah, I rolled up my sleeves, patched things up, and now the game runs capped at 60 FPS. I know, I know, 60 doesnβt sound fancy, but hey, Iβd rather have a smooth and consistent experience for everyone than have your gameplay speed depend on your system specs.
