Howdy! How are y'all doing? This is gonna be the first developer log I'm gonna write! I hope to write these consistently so I can keep all of y'all up-to-date with these great upcoming features and implementations!
How is the progress with Mirror Networking?
I have not started development on the game for Mirror Networking, yet. I wanted to create a list server so everyone who hosts a public server can let other players find and join their servers! It has been a real hassle to complete as I am using a server host that does not provide a static port number for me to use. I had to come up with a workaround that took me about two days to think of and implement, but I have successfully done it! The server list is now running and the port will always stay synchronized with the game clients. Don't worry about downtimes as the server is hosted 24/7!
When will we expect to get the latest version of the game?
I will not announce any release date for this as Mirror Networking is out of my comfort zone. However, it is a comfort zone that I am willing to pass to get this done. I did use UNET (Unity Networking) before which is what Mirror Networking is based on, so some of the basics of this multiplayer framework are what I have covered.
I hope this developer log brings in hope to those that think this game will never reach a finished state! It will! There will be many obstacles, but I will overcome them! Thank y'all for sticking around with the game's development!
