[DEVLOG] - We've been hard at work.

Hi, my name is Sil. And yes, this product is still in the development phase.

This time, I will be discussing what features have been added since the last devlog, and where we currently stand in terms of the Attack Designer.

Blaster Circles (Spirals)

First, if you cannot already tell from the GIF, Gaster Blaster circles are now possible. If it weren't for these, you'd have to animate hundreds of blasters individually... and that's a real pain! Another pro that comes with these generators is that if you follow the white circle, you will know where a blaster will sound in real time! This makes it extremely useful for those who are having trouble making their perfect blaster spiral by code, or if they want to recreate attacks without having to get out a protractor from that mathematics set they may have had.

Randomness

The second, and not so important change, is RNG! If you so wish to, you can include random placements in your game. If you want random blasters, go for it. If you want random bones, go for it. If you want random randomness, then go for it, because the possibilities are now (countably) endless!

I know a lot of challenge runners out there are potentially sweating profusely over this option, BUT NO FEAR! There will be options to manage these patterns at the player's control, so you don't have to brave a lottery-based attack at the end of a 10-minute run in order to do a no-hit... I surely hope not, anyway.

Closing Thoughts

So this is where we're at right now. 28 different presets are available in the attack designer so far, but a small fraction of them have yet to be implemented. Once these are figured out, and the other essentials have been added along with them, the Attack Designer will (hopefully) be complete!

On top of that, you're not limited to just these presets that will come with the demo. You can add whatever you want... when the Bullet Designer is finished, but that's sadly not going to come with the demo. However do not fret, because those who know Game Maker's basic functions will be able to add new stuff nice and easily, no coding required.

A lot of people have been asking when a demo will be released. All I know right now is that it will come sometime this year. I have no idea when. But it WILL be this year, unless we have a very good reason to delay it until 2026... which I don't see happening anytime soon.

Anyway, thank you for reading (and for your kind-hearted words!), and I will see you again soon!
