So, I've been working on a "Custom Server" or "Unofficial Dedicated Server", whatever you want to call it, for the game Undertale: Connect by @Landimizer ;

I feel like I've gotten such a huge accomplishment, so huge that I'm starting to be proud of it, and confident that I will be releasing it to the public next month (probably bigger than I'm expecting), therefore the reason of this announcement really existing.
Here's the features I expect it to have by the time I will release it:
- Improved movement support between clients (currently 3 movements per second on a 9 player server)
...And that's really it. What? Did you expect more? You know, Mona Lisa didn't really paint itself in one day.
Here's some things I might do before release:
- Sandbox support
- Plugin system
- Skin support
And more love towards it. Because right now, I feel like k-
I think I'm done with this part.
And last but not least (probably IS least in this case), here's some things I might consider in the future:
- Bungee servers (multiple servers in one server) -- maybe if you want to have a sandbox server but you don't want to run 2 servers at once or don't have access to more IP's, a lobby area would work
- Commands (Once Landi does decide to add a server sided command system)
-- Nicknaming system
-- Moderation users & commands
-- Possibly a vanish command
-- And a private message system
-- Socialspy cus why not
-- A skin command possibly, where you upload skins to a database, and bam you can just get'em.
-- And, that's all the junk I have on my head...
But I'll probably release those as their separate plugins/modules. Speaking of which, a plugins command. And possibly a permission plugin. Because I hate my life. And I want- I'm rambling again.
And that's really it. I don't want to put too much pressure on myself, because my sleep schedule is already fuc- I mean fluffed from getting a stable server up. I wonder how Landimizer felt back when creating this mod, but anyways, I hope this little thing will make it easier to host 24/7 servers, considering you'll just be able to upload it to replit, github or whatever the fluff you want, run it and be done with it. And yes, I do want to go in Minecraft's hosting direction. Because why not? It makes it more fun and opens customization options.
-(ps. I've been running this prototype for an hour and it's still up beside the out of buffer errors.)
With all of that rambling said, good night! (or day)
Ralsei... REALLY cares for ALL of you..! 💖
