Distance Update - Oct 2014

Hey there!

Here is a small update regarding my game, Distance! I am still hard at work on the game, despite not updating on GameJolt or my blog lately. Though, since my last update, development on the game has progressed quite a bit! Here are a few notable changes/additions:

  • Some graphical improvements

- Re-structured some level designs

- Addition of a world map to be viewed before entering a new World

- Implementation of a smoother camera

- Completion of opening/intro World

- World 1, and World 2’s levels are complete (though, not yet finalized)

- Almost all cutscenes have been made

…and more!

The game has definitely progressed nicely. However, there are still MANY bugs and stuff to tweak. Of course, one of the hardest things is coming up with a release date. As of now, I am aiming for an early 2015 release if things go smoothly. Possibly somewhere in January or February. During the last few months, I had to take a few pauses, so this surely affected development.

Anyway, I hope this information has shed some light on the matter! Also, just to shake things up, I have included a screenshot below! Thanks for reading!

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Why walk when you can jump?
