Do games need closure?

For a while I've been thinking about making a closure scene to this game. Maybe an allegory to suicide or anxiety. It all sounds silly. It's a game about nothing. Different worlds should need no explanation.

Finished the Ludus pixel art. You'll start the game with a broken and decadent Ludus, which you will improve as you win tournaments.

Recently we've been focusing on the UI part of the game. A cool feature of the equipment system is that the right and left arms/legs are separeted, so you can build you gladiator the way you feel like.

Gods of Sand now has a steam page!

Cheers!

Every weapon in the game will be throwable! That's how gladiators fight, right?

At this point we have already implemented 4 types of weapons: 1H weapons, polearms, 2H weapons and fists. In the future we'll add javelins and slings. You can drop/pick up any weapon in the middle of the combat. What weapons would like to see in the game?

In the Ludus you'll be able to train your gladiators, and manage their stats, skills and items.

The equipment system is getting closer to its final shape. Hardly any gladiator will look the same as another.

First take on the weapon throwing system... maybe we'll make it a juggling game.

Just added a dynamic blood system, where higher damages spill more blood >:D

Now we have a proper thumb and logo!
