DOWNFALL MARCH 2019 UPDATE

TEAM RESTRUCTURING
Over the past month, the team has made a lot of changes regarding the structure of the team and how work is done. We’ve shifted people into new positions of power to lead different sections of the project. Before we felt that the team was very disorganized and that work was not being completed on time or was generally rushed.
Caminus has now been promoted to Game Director. He now oversees the entirety of the project to make sure everyone is on task. He was moved up to this position because it was felt throughout the team that we didn’t have a centralized person of leadership. Caminus is also the head writer for the project.
Another person to receive a promotion is Callum, our lead artist. Callum is now the Art Director for ‘Downfall’. His made job is to take command of the art department and get new concepts rolling for our level designers, 3d modelers, and story writers to visualize their work. Since his promotion, the art department has been working more smoothly than ever before.
Overall, this new restructuring of the team has allowed us to feel more confident in ourselves as a studio. We feel like we have a lot more control over what happens with each department and we’re hoping to see some major improvements in our workflow.
STEPPING THINGS UP
As you may have heard in the last Podtacular Podcast involving me (N0rthM0nk) and Markie (Audio Lead), we want to give Downfall a brand-new image. Forget the models you’ve seen in the past, now that we have a better structure, our vision of the game is clearer, and our standards will be way higher. Our Art Director, Callum Dainty, did a few concept arts to show how selective and precise we will be in the future.
Even though our team is not 100% complete yet, the communication and the structure are better than ever. Every decision is made meticulously and carefully. We’ll always make sure we’re all on the same page before including anything else in the game. We’ve always been honest with our community and let’s be real, we’ve made mistakes, but we’ve learned from every single one of them. Now it’s Downfall 2.0 and we hope you’ll like our new improved image we are about to show you.
