Oh, I can’t wait for the release! But meanwhile, let’s talk about crafting!
The Shop
The Shop is where you’ll craft most of your items because that’s where the Workstation is located. In the future, you’ll be able to buy some items there. You’ll also find a NPC - the Merchant.
Crafting UI
Here we go, the Crafting User Interface. It’s clean, as you can see, and pretty self-explanatory.
At the top left you can see the Player’s Inventory as usual, and at the leftmost, you can see the Crafting UI.
Since it has a lot going on, well break it down into three smaller sections.
Section 1
This is dead simple. The Section 1 is where you’ll find all of the available recipes within a Crafting Station (Workbench, Furnace, Anvil, etc…).
The item inside the blue box is the currently selected one. If an item is in a red box it means that you don’t have enough resources to craft it. If an item is in a gray box it means that it is craftable.
Section 2
The Section 2 is where you’ll find all of the item’s data. Since it has a lot going on too I’ll break it into five smaller parts.
Section 2.1
This is the Header, the place where you’ll find both the item’s name and icon.
Section 2.2
The Recipes Tab. Here you’ll find the recipe of the selected item, and you’ll know which items are missing in your inventory.
Section 2.3
This is called Data Tab. It’s the most informative of them all. The upper row shows, from the top left:
If the item needs one or two hands to be held.
If the item has Auto Use, a feature that allows reusing the item automatically without clicking till your mouse’s death.
Use Time or Fire Rate. It basically tells how long is the delay between each use of the item in seconds.
Tells if the item is consumable. If it is, the item will be destroyed on use.
A trackpad that tells if the item has a Left Click and/or a Right Click action. This means that if the left button is blue, the item will only act with a Left-Click, if the right one is blue instead, the item will be used by Right-Clicking. Now, if both are blue, the item will most likely have two unique uses, which will be activated by either Left or Right-Clicking.
Wow, that was a lot of things to cover. But there’s more.
Below the upper row you’ll know the damage of a weapon, how much does a certain chestplate increase the Player’s defense, an Accessory’s stats, etc…
Section 2.4
We’re almost done guys, so keep on swim… I mean, reading, of course.
The Section 2.4 is where you’ll read the item’s tooltip. Simple, right?
Section 2.5
The craft button crafts the item selected. If it is red, it means that you can’t craft the selected item.
We’re done with the Section 2! Moving on…
Section 3
The third section is all about filtering your wishes. Jokes aside, you’ll have two types of filters. Let’s start by the left one.
It is responsible for showing All items, Craftable items or Non-Craftable items. Great if you want only the obtainable.
The right filter is all about item categories. They are:
Materials
Accessories
Armors
Weapons
Potions
So if you’re looking for a specific set of items such as ingots and you don’t want to scroll through thousands of armors and potions to find them, just filter by Materials and bam, a much shorter list.
That was it for this post guys, I know it is a rather long one, but if you made it to here, you’re one of the coolest guys!
