Hey guys, thanks a lot for your patience! I present to you the official V1.1 update!
This is not the V2 overhaul update (aka the Evolutions Update). However, it changes the core gameplay to give you a small taste of what V2 will look like, as well as making the gameplay more fair while also challenging, while you guys wait!
Note: Unless otherwise stated, the cutscenes in-game are no longer canon. This is due to the eventual V2 overhaul updating the lore. However, something in the game has been changed to hint at the new story...

Don't worry, all your old save codes will still work! However, I recommend you play from Layer 2 due to a mechanic rework!

Gameplay
Flash beacon mechanic reworked, instructions in Layer 2 tutorial/note.
Howler’s aggression slightly increased. Lower layers should be a little less tedious until V2 releases.
Duller no longer stops you from closing your eyes when it’s in the room.
Duller now emits a ticking sound panning from the side it’s on.
Smiler can no longer attack while Howler is in the room.
Increased window for being able to hold your eyes shut from 12 seconds to 15 seconds. This should reduce issues with multiple entities attacking simultaneously.
Layer segments reduced from 6 minutes (360 seconds) to 5 minutes (300 seconds).
A clock sound now plays when the layer is almost complete (except for Layer 6).
Removed the layer counter on the computer during the main gameplay. There was no point in adding this.
Shortened the Layer 1 cutscene.
Smiler’s mechanic was slightly nerfed in Layer 6. Smiler will no longer warn you before attacking.
Performance
Significantly reduced the vertex count for the game’s detailed models. The game should run smoother now.
Camera scrolling and other code slightly optimised.
Removed the extended events in Smiler and Duller’s jumpscares; this used to cause issues.
Game file size reduced from 105MB to 94MB.
Visuals
Slightly updated the lighting in the layer segments. The game now has more of a VHS/dreamy look.
Howler no longer appears in the hallway; it now only appears in your room.
Updated the Layer 5 note to explain something… rather lore juicy.
Fixes
Fixed a bug where the game would sometimes not load properly.
Fixed a bug where Duller’s insanity screen effects would remain during the Layer 6 ending if they were attacking.
Updated the Layer 4 note/tutorial to explain Skin-Stealer’s mechanic better. (I promise Skin-Stealer will get more screen time in V2!)
