Elemental Gates and their descriptions in order:
Has a medieval aesthetic based off of Stormy Stronghold in a way, mainly via the floating, fragmented castles. There's also lil' birds and many clouds as the fauna and ambience respectively, I guess.
Has a tropical, pirateish aesthetic, mainly via the bodies of water and also the tropical flora. There's docks for platformers and also the occasional seagull for fauna.
Wait until I add in @PrincessDoit 's Cyngal as a hidden easter egg—
Has castle-like mineshaft aesthetic, mainly via the use of stone brick walls as well as the mineshaft holders that keep the mines from collapsing on each other. For flora, there's the occasional eccentric patches of grass deep within the caves.
Basically: Rock and Stone haven, including those who yearn for the mines. ;)
In a dwarf's eyes — THE POLAR OPPOSITE OF ROCK AND STONE HAVEN. /j
Has a jungleish aesthetic based of Treetop Terrace, mainly via the oversized trees in the background as well as the log/stump platforms. There's wooden bridges and also literal treehouses — houses within the trees. And because the larger trees block the ground from sunlight, there's little string lights that wrap from stump to stump.
Basically: Leaf Lover haven.
Has a steampunkish aesthetic, mainly via the many pipelines carrying steam throughout the factory, as well as the occasional comically large gears. There's catnets for bridges and also signs that tell you if there's a ledge or not — which is very helpful in case you almost fall and die.
Has a crypt-like aesthetic, mainly via the fact that it takes place IN A CRYPT. There's selcuphre on the walls, and piles of bones and skulls around the catacombs. But be warned, this ain't a humerus lil' funhouse, no; it's a spooky, scary sepulchre that's sure to give you frights. =)
The locals might even ask how your fall was, or maybe even request your balls—
Sans.
Has a Lava Lake Railway aesthetic, mainly 'cause it's INSPIRED BY LAVA LAKE RAILWAY. There's lava lakes, if you couldn't tell, and there's also railways with minecarts, IF YOU ALSO COULDN'T TELL. Lava rocks like basalt make up the walls, and in general — this Elemental Gate was made with lave. ;)
Basically, the cooler Rock and Stone haven.
These gates were once magnificent outposts for the Arkeyan garrisons, way back when The Darkness was a major threat to Skylands, 10,000+ years ago. Cracked, floating rocks and magic embers surround the ruined fortress. If you're lucky, you'll come across the occasional Arkeyan Challenger — who'll challenge you to a game of Skystones.
If you haven't noticed already, this one was made with more lave than the Fire Elemental Gate! And why? Because IT'S ARKEYAN-RELATED!! :D
That's all for today! Until then, Portal Master!
