Hi everyone, I am here to announce that Project Luna is starting now.

This is an 8 weeks project with a team of 5 members to develop
Her name is Luna, a role playing stealth-adventure game.

Here is the overview of what it will contain in the game.

Game story

The story is about David, a boy who lives a quiet but happy life with friends and family. One night, he meets a girl(Luna) with a lower body of a snake.

Realizing that she is unable to get back to her hideout from the Nightwatch, he makes a promise to help her. He failed someone in his past and he is now given a second chance.

As the story progresses, you will meet many experiences of this story-driven adventure that will immerse many feelings for the main characters.

Main mission

The main mission of the game is to lead Luna to her hideout unseen from the Nightwatch that are patrolling the area. You control David to navigate her safely through the area from them and if they see her, game over.

  • Luna will get scared and will be unable to move if you are far away from her. To make her move again, you have to get near her so that she knows that you are close.

  • You can throw objects that can be found near trash pins or dumpsters to distract the guards. You can even throw rare things like a hamburger or a candy bar that makes Luna go after to get it. Useful when you want to move her to a specific location.

  • Further, in the game, you can use abilities to tell her where to go and other ways. This can only be available when you teach her new abilities using supplies in the Teach section.

The world

The world you play in is a woodland near the sea with places like parks, towns, commercial districts to explore. At night, some of the areas will become guarded by the Nightwatch and will be the play zone for the main mission.

  • At daylight, you can explore areas and interact/talk with people. You can also listen in on people’s conversations, and pick up interesting rumors. These may be related to your current or previous mission, or they may just add extra context or flavor to the world.

  • You can take part in side-missions during the day to earn more supplies. These missions have the goal to find items in the area where the current main mission will play. This is the only way to get extra supplies to teach Luna new abilities faster.

  • As you progress in the game, the difficulty will increase each main mission you complete. More guards will patrol, new enemies will appear and the story of David who helps Luna from the Nightwatch continues.

Teach section

The Teach section is where you can spend your supplies to teach Luna new abilities and make her more effective in the main missions. There are 9 abilities divided into 3 types of categories: Words, Body & Mind, and Martial Art.

Ability Tree

  • Ability branch | Ability type | Description

  • Words | command abilities | Tell Luna what to do with words she learned

  • Body & Mind | passive abilities | Improve her movement and senses

  • Martial Art | defense abilities | Train her reflex and techniques.(no kill)

Thank you for taking your time to read the overview of the game and I hope that you continue to read the next blog post of the development.
