Here are a few threats that will live in the ruins, garden and beach. (All three correspond to the initial sector of the game.)
There are also some npcs. But the greatest density of characters will be in the garden.

I was a little overwhelmed by the ruins/garden
So I made some art for the desert sector.
Mae Borowski is the main character of Night in the Woods! It's an adventure game that tells the story of her return to her hometown of Possum Springs. She was confirmed as canonically pan in a social media post by the game's creator Scott Benson.
