EPIC DEV BLOG HERE¡¡¡


Hey guys, we're back to show you some progress and things that have been happening in the game's development, as well as future plans we have for the game. In a few days, I'll be voting to see if we could include certain things and features. Now I'm starting this dev blog.


		
			WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE JULY/AUGUST DEMO?
		
	

On this topic, we had promised a demo for July or August, but unfortunately we ran into some complications developing the gameplay. We lack people who could help with the development of the demo. We also thought it would be too ambitious for just a two-night demo, along with some unfinished things and external developer work. For this and several reasons, we haven't released the demo in the promised month. We apologize for that, but we are working hard to make this game even more different and unique.

			NEW GAMEPLAY?
		
	

As we mentioned before, since we wanted to make a unique version of fnati, we decided to experiment with more dynamic approaches to the core gameplay, opting for different controls and movement of the player's vision, as well as new and revamped mechanics. We want to ensure that the gameplay is enjoyable and that the player feels like they're actually on an abandoned island. Here's an example of the experiments we're doing. (The intro video)

			MINNIE REDESIGN
		
	

Over time, you've noticed that some characters have received a significant redesign to match the game's style. We've already introduced the main characters (Mickmick, Oswald, and Donald). In this case, we're showing you a preview of Minnie's new model. It's not the final version, but it's how we're working on the models and the details that differentiate each character, so they're unique and recognizable.

Terror Nights (temporary name)

Replayability is key, considering including game modes that change mechanics, characters, interface, etc. As a first addition, it will be a night (or more) with different characters from horror movies and creepypastas, in a place you visit for the second time after completing the main mode. If you complete it, you will receive a reward that will be included in the next mode, which we will explain.

Custom Night

Custom Night will be one of the sections that will give the game more replayability, as we are planning to add different methods for obtaining characters (either by completing the main nights or another game mode), as well as two secret modes that will be discovered if you are very attentive during the nights and in different situations.

In terms of characters, we have those from the main nights and also the extra characters that will be exclusive to this game mode. We present some small spoilers about who will be there:

			A SMALL HELP WANTED
		
	

Although we managed to recruit some people to make the game's development more efficient, we feel that we have forgotten certain aspects to continue developing the game. And in the meantime, the demo preview. We don't have a clear date for when we can release it. In any case, this is what we need:

  • Animators (2)

  • UI Artist (1)

  • Voices Actors (2)

    This is an important case; we need 1 male (representing Jake) and 1 female (representing Liza), since they will be in the demo


This is all we have in progress for now. We will be publishing content soon, including some polls where you can participate to include some things you'd like to see.
