The 1.1 update is a major update for Comic Sans. The game hasn't been updated in 2 years, and since then, many changes have been made to improve the game as of this update.
Art and Sound Department
The art direction and animation has been completely overhauled, featuring vibrant colors for every menu and game-mode.
The game now features an original soundtrack to accompany the gameplay.
A brand new logo has been created to better fit what the game has in store.
The sound design has been overhauled, featuring brand new sound effects to keep the player invested.
Gameplay
Comic Sans and Papyrus can now finally be defeated as opposed to the game being an endless point collection game.
Bullets from Comic Sans and Papyrus can now be parryed, which will remove the bullet entirely. This can be done by firing your special attack.
Your special attack can now regenerate after around 12 seconds.
Papyrus is now a harder version of Comic Sans mode instead of it being a reskin like in the original. Papyrus moves much quicker and more frequently, and has a trickier final phase portion.
Lane closures may generate during levels, which will kill the ship if it is in the specific lane. There is a one-second window in which the player is alerted of them. Papyrus will summon two upon being hit by the ship's special attack.
Comic Sans and Papyrus now have a special attack just like the player. Papyrus' is significantly faster.
Other Changes
The ship now flies in upon starting a level.
The game's sounds are now consistent on headphones, meaning sounds are stereo while using headphones or stereo speakers.
The idea of copy-pasting a message to friends based around your final score has been removed due to the idea being odd and just generally unused.
As such, the game over screens now display deriding death quotes based around your score.
The StarFox easter egg that would be found upon entering the konami code has been removed due to the game now being heavily based around getting a good score without alternative work-arounds.
The background now has a proper scrolling animation as opposed to the older animation that just switched between keyframes choppily.
The ship now has slight animations when moving up and down.
Comic Sans and Papyrus now swiftly move across the screen when changing positions instead of teleporting to a specific area.
Fixed an oversight where the player wasn't properly positioned while moving through its 3 preset locations.
The menus now have quick transitions when switching through pages.
The game now contains annotations about the programming to make modding easier.
The game is more labor-intensive on hardware due to the layered effects, although this more often than not shouldn't be a problem.
A faint sound is played upon hitting Comic Sans or Papyrus with your small lasers.
Menu navigation now makes a clicking noise when being pressed.
The player's score is now properly displayed as transparent text instead of the default variable monitor.
The game can now be relaunched within the game over menu instead of the user previously being required to relaunch the game upon death.
Papyrus and Comic Sans now have differentiating themes as opposed to them using the same 4 second loop.
The main title theme now loops instead of being played once and never again.
If you're anal-retentive about any of these changes, typing "CLASSIC" on any screen will enable classic mode, which reverts most of the original sprites, however the original build of the game is always downloadable here on GameJolt.
The explosion effect now shakes and brightens upon death.
Your special attack finally makes a noise.
The main menu background is now parallax. It will move based on your mouse's position,
Comic Sans Destroyer and Papyrus Destroyer now have differentiating logo colors.

Text is now positioned correctly in menu buttons.
