It's finally here!

The reimagined campaign of The Hunt for Smurfblum is now available as an update for Evilsmurfs 6 Deluxe!

Set 5 years prior to the first battle between Gurglemeel and Poopah, Tha Men Agent Charlie Messner is assigned to locate the elusive former Mayor Reginald Smurfblum, who some believe may have survived his fall 15 years prior. With the directive to bring him back to Tha Men dead or alive, the hunt for Smurfblum will prove to be a challenging one!

Evilsmurfs 6 Deluxe: Version 1.1.0

The Hunt for Smurfblum:

• The Hunt for Smurfblum begins - 5 years before Gurglemeel and Poopah first clashed! Assume the role of Tha Men Agent Charlie Messner as he is assigned to search for the elusive former mayor down in the gorge he was last spotted in 15 years ago. Will he find him, or die trying?

• A reimagining of the original short tie-in for Evilsmurfs 6, The Hunt for Smurfblum has been expanded upon utilizing the new puzzle-platformer and combat elements introduced in Evilsmurfs 6 and expanded upon in Evilsmurfs 6 Deluxe’s Chapter 2.5!

• New weapons and gameplay mechanics, such as ladders, readable notes, and the handheld radio!

• Two possible endings that affect the main campaign’s story!

• Roughly 30 minutes of new gameplay

General:

• New The Hunt for Smurfblum campaign button on the title screen

  • This button only appears after completing the main campaign

• The characters on the bottom-right side of the title screen now change depending on which campaign button you are hovering over

Bug fixes:

• Fixed weapon pickups not interacting with stairs

• Fixed fade_in_out transition not allowing custom fade times due to code oversight

With the completion of the reimagined The Hunt for Smurfblum, development may now shift towards the planning and production of the Ergatof expansion. Due to the intense development process of both the main campaign and this expansion, I may end up taking a small break before starting work on the next campaign.

Ergatof will likely be a shorter experience, though this may change during planning. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the remake of The Hunt for Smurfblum!
