The next release may take some time, I’m having some problems because Green Hill Zone Act 2 is heavy for my pc (and other people with bad pc), and it’s still a very short act. So I found a way to increase the size of an act without making the pc lag (the performance of Marble Zone and all next zones may be a lot better than Green Hill), however making a new act still requires some time, I need to import all the sprites, fix them if needed and position everything in the room, and now every act may be 3 or 4 sizes bigger than before, if not even more bigger than that.
What is coming in Marble Zone: most of the basic is already done, like lava, fireballs that jump from lava, that moving ground that goes up and down above the lava, that big green cone thing, 2 annoying badnicks and that almost harmless bat (description of the new badnicks in the end).
Changes in Green Hill Zone: everyone hates spikes, and now a lot more of people hate crabs, so i’ve reduced the amount of spikes and crabys on both acts of Green Hill (don’t forget that these changes will only come in version 1.2.0).
Characters: a lot of people have problems to manipulate the characters with the current acceleration, so I’m increasing the acceleration of the characters, which also increases their deceleration. And it seems a new character wants to join the party, he’s already playable, but doesn’t want to be easily found and played. So I can’t say much about him now, but he likes green emeralds.
New badnicks:
Batbrain - The original bat from Marble Zone, if you get near him he’ll chase you. Not a big of a threat.
Buzzbomber - You missed this guy in Green Hill, right? But he will not miss you. This piece of metal learned the secrets of MLG quickscoping, and now is almost as annoying as those crabys. The secret to kill him without getting hurt? Just don’t be at full speed all the time, if you stay stoped when he comes he’ll simply miss the shot.
Spiderspring (original name: arachnispring) - This guy came from Sonic CD and now he’s here just to snare you to death. When you see him far from you he’s just there, staring at you, doing nothing. However, if you get closer, he’ll start to jump, trying to aim at you, and if you don’t dodge, you’ll have a beautifull spider web around your body, snaring you. When you are snared you can’t go left or right, and gravity is also doubled for you. Luckly this effect only last for 3 seconds, and then you can get your revenge on him. The spider web itself does little damage.
