Fan fiction or Anime?


Hi all!

Today, me and the scenarist that works with me have a problem:

Do we do the game Sword Art Online, with it’s own rules, maps, and stories? Including the fact that you can name your character, customize him, and adventure differently.

Or do we do the anime-based game Sword Art Online, with Kirito, Asuna, the maps shown in the anime, and the same story shown in it?

Including the Yui part, some parts IRL saving Asuna, and maybe the ALO part.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
