Next up
I haven't played any pet games... 
I'm not sure if "Untitled Goose Game" counts, or if the "Pets" expansion pack for The Sims 3 does. 
I'm more into retro games; I used to get hooked on titles like: 
-Knights of the Round
-Magic Sword
-The King of Dragons
But my favorites are still: 
-Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom
-Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara
As such, I can't think of anyone else who would be good to add...
But since the general theme of the characters is video games, what about including characters from animated series (cartoons) and/or anime?
For example: "SWAT Kats" or "Bleach".
In my case it would be "Aero the Acro-Bat", since I haven't played any other games involving bats... unless Batman counts. 
I'm not a big fan of playing games on my phone because of the battery drain... but the one I got most hooked on back in the day was the "RoboCop" game based on the 2014 movie.
It's a shame it had a bug halfway through the game.
