Today we are going to introduce the design of our fantasy creatures in the world of Heroine Anthem Zero – Engora Wolf & Rentolus.

Engora Wolf

AKA Horned Wolf. You could tell from its appearance that this fantasy creature is having wolf face with a huge pair of antlers. The fur of Horned Wolf is usually brown, but some Horned Wolves with red fur are discovered recently. Besides, as the elders said, there is a king of Horned Wolf – Silver King with silver fur (Apparently!) living in Longhorn Wood in depths while most young Forest Keepers have never witnessed it.

The group of Horned Wolves usually lives in the forest in depths. They are territorial animals, which means they don’t easily leave their activity areas. However, recent news from many villages pointed that some of them enter to the villages and destroy everything. Forest Keepers also hear the howls more frequently. Seems something is going to happen in the near future.

Rentolus

As a legendary creature living in White Feather Mountain, People lived in Uzato are believed that Rentolus has the sacred power to expel the dark power covered in Longhorn Woods.

The appearance of Rentolus looks similar to Griffin, which has the body, tail and back legs of a lion & the head and wings of an eagle. In fact, the initial design of Rentoulus doesn’t have the relationship with Griffin at all.

In the early development, the species of Rentolus is Reptile, a tortoise-like creature with hard and heavy shells. In order to increase its Dex. attribute, we removed the shells and even transformed the species of Rentolus from Reptile to Mammal, with hooves, a pair of huge horns and skin with fur. Sounds familiar? Yes, it looked like a Horned Wolf in this stage.

‘How about having a pair of huge wings? That would be really cool!’
‘Then, how about change the hooves into claws, it would looked more agile.’
‘Great! How about we add this… and then do this…’

After many ideas came out and tried, as you can see, the final version of Rentolus looks perfect!
