What is Sonic Retribution?
Sonic Retribution is a 3D Sonic The Hedgehog fan game made in Unity, using the open-source Sonic Fan game engine, Bumper Engine, which was used for the SAGE 2018 Fan games, Sonic Liquid Survival and Sonic Cosmic Eternity. It’s a passion project made by a passionate gamer who has been a fan of the blue blur since his childhood.
What kind of Sonic game is it gonna be? Classic, Adventure, Boost, or something completely original?
Adventure style with the physics of the Classic games, which is the main focus of the Bumper Engine.
What characters are gonna be playable?
Sonic, Shadow, and Silver are 100% confirmed to be playable. Other characters that are considered for the final version of the game include Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Blaze, Rouge, and even Classic (Mania) Sonic.
Will there be new or re-imagined stages?
Every single stage will be brand new locations. However, they will share textures and similar structures to that of levels from Official Sonic games such as Adventure, Adventure 2, Unleashed, Generations, Mania, Forces, etc.
Open or Linear stages?
Both at the same time.
Will there be a story?
Yes there will be.
How will the story be written?
Similar to that of the Adventure Games and Forces. A darker tone, plus each character having their own stories that connect with each other.
Will there be full-fledged Voice Acting?
Yes. I will be using the website, Behind The Voice Actors, to cast the roles of the characters in the future.
