Fate could be called some things, but ultimately would be the one that tries to convince Hope not to stray from their "path, destiny or Fate" that is supposedly set in motion. [fate is almost pretty crappy irl too-]

Fate can supposedly see that future and does everything they can to keep Hope on that path. They also just really like to annoy the hell out of her and just be rude to her for their own pleasure. Does work sometimes but Hope will always defy them, and they will always defy her.

Fate is most likely the part of negativity [REDACTED] had before, something that lingered into a new life? Who knows.
