Two days to go!
I’ve fallen quite behind and left the background art til last but luckily that is pretty much all I have left to do. Hopefully I will finish most of the art today (did I say ‘art’? I meant flagrant misuse of a paintbrush’).
Nearly all the coding is done, puzzles* are in place. All that’s left to do in the next two days is to finish the art, implement the new backgrounds (luckily there are only two) and do a little rewrite of the dialogue, if there’s time. Oh yeah and testing. Not sure I’ll have time to get it tested before the deadline, but I think I’ve done a good job of squashing bugs so hopefully there won’t be any major bugs.
Also I’m still in the market for a piece of background music if anyone has something I can use. If not I’m sure I’ll find something.
I’m so glad I chose not to use a visible character. I would never have had time to do anything else if I had to do my own walk-cycles. I admire anyone in the jam who is making walk-cycles as well as everything else. You guys are gods.
As I haven’t finished any backgrounds yet, I’m still lacking any art to show off, but here’s a photo of a screenshot of my inventory with some items.

There are are now 59 games in the Jam and counting which is both awesome and overwhelming. Gone are the days when I was looking forward to being able to play all the entries. I can now probably only hope to play some of them. Also gone are the days when I was looking forward to people playing my game. Now I can only hope that a handful of nice people even notice my humble attempt amid the sea of more amazing looking titles.
Anyway, I’ve got some ‘art’ to be getting on with. Best of luck and love to everyone for the next two days.
