Howdy, welcome to a more proper dev log, but still not a super big one, just showing off some random stuff as working on the typewriter text is driving me mad!

here is some early development versions of the fighting system and the game over sequence. I decided it was a little more important to show the audio for the game over, since I'm not sure if you can like add multiple videos... but perhaps when the fight system is better implemented I'll show it off more properly.

So simple concept, replacing the attack bar is a metronome like object. The current plan is to give it 3 low power hits that would somewhat equal the damage you'd normally do in Undertale! I have also had ideas of maybe adding a rhythm system into the game to make the bar being a metronome make more sense? Sorta like mother 3 but not as wild. I haven't started coding this but I am looking into it, but I would like to hear what y'all think? Should I have a system like that or would it make fights too annoying? Would you prefer something simpler or do you like this idea? No point in adding a feature everyone won't like, besides there will be other new mechanics. I'm highly consider making a combat demo to show things off and tweak the fight system so that I can make something fun but unique!

Ya know, I honestly thought I showed this here, feels like the perfect place for it given the fact it's another soul take I made! Anyways a while back there was a comic contest the like... third one or something? I spent some effort making a comic for that and ended up using another soul for it. Their name is Alvia, the purple soul of Perseverance! The comic goes through one of the hardest challenges in Alvia's journey and cementing the way they want to act through the rest of the underground. I'm quiet proud of what I made and the comic won second place in the contest so go check it out! in fact go check out all of the comics! they all did wonderfully and every person put in their all even if there was only 4 contestants.

Oh yes, for those curious, Alvia... Might be canon to Era of Integrity, but it wouldn't really affect much if they are or aren't. After all their journey is after Melody's so at the very least maybe there's some hints towards EOI in the comic but no reoccurring characters, nothing that would be in EOI besides like small headcannons.

Well this is juicer than most other dev logs I've had, still it's nothing major give the game still doesn't have a fully running system yet, just some minor things here and there.
