Fight/Train Development Continues

Hello Everyone, I have had quite the busy life in the last year. I sold a house and moved overseas to Romania from Canada. Now that my life is starting to settle down for the first time in a long time. I figured this would be a good point to continue development of Fight/Train. Well rather, I am starting from scratch.

The previous version was just a prototype, and it wasn’t that good. Actually it kind of sucked. I have new ambitious plans for Fight/Train. As with the proof of concept, it will remain a 2d top down game, but the first Alpha version of the game will have graphics. Yes, that is true it will have graphics rather than little tiny cubes. I am not that great at making sprites and 2d images, but I will apply what I know, and hopefully I can make something that looks half decent.

Anyway, my ambition for this project is to create an open world of sorts. Not getting into too many details at the moment, but my idea is I would like the player to be able to train using many methods. If you want to train strength, lift things. I want things in the world with weight. You could also for example do push ups. I want many different ways to train the different stats and skills Yes skills will be making a return, but in a much different way. Here are the stats and skills I plan on having for the first Alpha version of the game.

Stats:

Strength
Dexterity
Energy
Stamina

Skills:

Unarmed
Blade Weapon
Blunt Weapon
Throwing Weapon
Wrestling
Energy Control
Energy Projection

I have no eta when the first Alpha version of the game will be available. I am taking my time, and working on something I hope will be truly addictive for players. I am moving away completely from the Pokemon styled combat seen in the Prototype, and moving towards a more dynamic actin based combat system. So this could take some time. Anyway, I will update you all when I have something to show.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Demonstration of the spells and their effects :)!
