Sorry to everyone who’s been waiting, but I finally managed to get life sorted out and have time to develop. The update adds new menu options, cities, physics GodPowers, an improved interface, and the ability to switch between GodPowers, giving you the ability to sculpt the land more to your liking. Press “1”, or “2” to scroll through the physics and planet editing GodPowers respectively.

Completely new to this update is the addition of cities, which are only in for a preview of how you’ll be able to place them. They won’t be preformed in the future, but rather, will add new buildings and grow organically on their own. Also new is the ability to modify individual GodPowers, which wasn’t possible in GSG Beta. Press “C” to open the menu to adjust things like force, brush radius, etc. This will have a big impact on the way you play, as you can now decide whether you just want to stop an object from moving, rotating, or both. This allows you to keep planets still, but use the push/pull GodPower to set them rotating. All GodPowers will be modifiable, such as setting orbit speeds, spawn velocities, laser power, missle lifetime, etc.
If you press “F”, you can use the new advanced object editor, which will be similar to how it was in GodSpace Galactic Beta, but is much easier to work with, and will allow you to change pretty much anything about an object. I had been working on a new, far more flexible system to handle the menus, which makes them much easier to use as well as for me to add features to. I also did a custom interface skin that adds some character to what had been the default Unity skin.
So to recap, while there hasn’t been an overwhelming amount of raw content addition, the underlying system is finally starting to come together. I’ll be releasing another update, hopefully tomorrow, with more GodPowers like grab, orbit, and maybe even some spawners, as well as adding in the old timescale manipulation for fans of slowmo and fastforward alike. Steam support is on the horizon as I fill out the rest of the paperwork now that I’ve been greenlit. Stay tuned everyone, GodSpace Galactic 2 is back and will be rolling out plenty of updates, at least a couple a week.
