First Performance Update!

Dear shipmates,

Faithful to our plan, we are very happy to announce that work to improve the performance of the rigidity simulation has not only started, but is also showing the first, *very encouraging* results.

We've started writing a multi-part blog post in which we describe not only the hurdles in implementing a mass-spring network simulation, but also our amazing progress in improving Floating Sandbox's spring relaxation algorithm.

We've just published part I of the series, and plan to write the next parts during the following weeks. By following this series you'll get updates on how our work is progressing and what degree of performance enhancement you may expect in the next release!

This Satuday we invite to watch another #speedpainting of our artist Daniel Faiad.

How great is this scene of #Pecaminosa?

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

Family band complete!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
