First presentation is over, and just take a look at our progress!

Phantom Focus is a FPS photography games about capturing ghosts! Inspired by the likes of Luigi's Mansion, Ghost Busters and Project Zero.


This is our progress after two weeks of working on this student project (adding free time work because our team is REALLY into this project)!

Ghosts

All the art was made by our five ectotastic artists, Tim, Emma, Julius, Csilla, and Estelle! We have FOUR complete ghost 3D models, even with animations .Textures for the props are still in the pipeline, and ALOT of cleaning up. Ectoplasm everywhere, I tell ya.

Our ghosts have their base behavior finished. Next up are each ghost's unique attack pattern.

MVP

Our three programmers Mon, Pascal and Finn work so fast, our game is already fully playable, meaning we have reached the Minimum Valuable Product. The core loop is functional and we already have basic Game Over and Victory states.

The coders got alot of help from the prior student Tony, who is working on a spawning system to make it super easy for us game designers to add them to the game.

Backlog

Personally, I am doing the vision keeper, enemy designer and level designer, together with my fellow Alex.
I have created the entire backlog and documentation of what we need for our project, and designed the enemy's mechanics. I came up with their names too, we simply kept them and the team fell in love with the ghosts.

Alex is a feature designer and expands on my rough ideas with his strong ability to judge what captivates players. We both complement each other very well

Team

Our two producers are setting up Taiga. This is the third platform we had to switch to now, but they are doing an amazing job to set up our work space.

This project has been amazing so far and I am so happy how fast it's taking shape! Thanks to every single team member!
