Five Nights at Freddy's: the Backrooms: 5 Night Beta Released!


After working on the game for even longer, I am happy to announce the second version for this game: the 5 night beta! If you find any bugs, feel free to comment on this post or on the game page so that I can work on a fix for it. Once again, special thanks to JAWS for play testing and giving feedback on the game to make it the best it can be. For those of you that want a changelog, here it is:

  • Improved the jumpscares from showing a white screen for a split second (it still occurs, but it's been improved)

  • Fixed many other minor bugs

  • Improved the newspaper article at the beginning of the game

  • Improved all of the animatronics' A.I.s

  • Improved other elements of the game

  • Added more U.I. animations

  • Added 5 nights with each night having a bigger map

  • Added many other things to improve your experience, such as: a controls menu that pops up when entering the first night, more spawn locations for the animatronics, and more!

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
