- Part 1: About the Characters -

Roster projects rely on characters, and descriptions can help expand upon them. Let's get to the second part, now that the first part is done, shall we?

Nightmare Sonic: Reborn as a wild beast, this horned hedgehog's got no accessories, but rather some more sharper features. His horns, claws, and feet are hard and are capable to leaving some damage. He can reach fast speeds and go after his prey like an angry bull. However, he possesses "teeth" that seem harmful at first, but they really aren't and are rather nice. However, he hides a nice set of pearly whites that's sure to scare you the first time you look at them. He has purple marks across his body.

Nightmare Mario: He's feral to most on the outside, but is always caring to his allies, protecting or cooperating with them when they need it. While still having some form of clothes, he's got nothing else worn on him. Opposite to that of a bunny, he's now like a coyote, even being tall and not really that fat anymore. Be careful, as he can run like a dog, pounce on you, and even bite you with his horrifying jaw. He has blue marks across his body.

Nightmare Yoshi: She's now an absolute unit, although she became a bit dumber and dim-witted in the process. Despite that, she still poses as a threat and can really take you down. While not being able to run as fast as the other nightmare clones, she can gradually achieve a nice speed. Interestingly enough, Nightmare Sonic and Nightmare Mario take turns sleeping on top of Nightmare Yoshi's belly, apparently due to it being like that of a bed. She has pink marks across her body.

Nightmare Tails: Look at him, he's a cyborg now! Our rookie pirate has now become a determined, silent hunter. He can really pack a punch, now that some parts of him have been mechanized. The other nightmare clones, except for Nightmare Knuckles, feel a sense of wonder around him sometimes. After all, Nightmare Tails is often reserved, and has talked to few. His mechanized parts are often red.

Nightmare Knuckles: Like his fellow companion, he's now a cyborg. However, half of his body is now mechanized! The natural half is a bit vibrant but rather dark in tone, while the mechanized half is desaturated and a bit bright. His mechanized hand/arm is capable of changing into various different weapons, or simply being a hand. While his newfound aggressive nature and recklessness can lead to a few problems, he mostly knows what he is doing. He's one of the select few that got to talk with Nightmare Tails, alongside being the only one who resides with him.

Toymare-A: Made up of Toy Sonic, Toy Mario, and Toy Yoshi parts, the first Toymare is ready to follow orders from whoever he currently serves. He was created by Remanent, with a human-like base form in mind. This Toymare will follow direct orders, doing exactly what is told unless told he can choose what to do.

Toymare-B: Made up of Toy Mighty, Toy Ray, and Balloon Toad parts, the second Toymare is ready to follow orders from whoever he currently serves. He was created by Remanent, with a crab-like base form in mind. This Toymare will follow direct orders, doing exactly what is told unless told he can choose what to do.

'30 Golden Sonic: Decades worth of unstable cloning material causing multiple mutations has resulted in this abomination, who is still possessed by Dr. Eggman. He constantly deals with pain from the unstable cloning material, but consistently manages to pull through. The cloning material, however, is taking over his outside body. He's got a big arm with an eye somewhere around the shoulder, two smaller arms, one half being taken over by cloning material, odd-looking yet powerful legs, an actual wing, and a horrifying face. Last but not least, he's got some sinister intentions, and a master plan to boot...

- Part 2: The Story of FNaS4G -

It's now 2030, and all was peaceful after the fire that occured in 2027, until two huge arms emerged from the rubble that was once an outdated storage building. Emerging from the rubble was a clone assumed dead after the fire, and that was none other than Salvage Sonic, who we will now dub as Remanent. However, he is now in a worse state, seemingly in bad pain too, wanting to just die already. But he was getting a sense of something...something he just couldn't figure out, but knew he had to go somewhere to make it happen. And so he slowly walked his way to whatever locations he remembered, as the midnight sky made its stay.

The first location he went to was a graveyard somewhat nearby the rubble, which he noticed not too far away. This graveyard was rather special, as the other clones who were killed were buried here. Remanent suddenly got an idea to bring them back, so he dug through each spot and got all of the dead clones, with a revamped goal in mind: cause rebirth to all of the dead clones, and himself too.

The second location was the second SHPP building, where he made his way into the building, sensing a hidden door somewhere. A while later, he found the hidden door, and broke his way into the room that was behind that door. It was a room that seemed to be in mint condition, which had an interesting surprise. There were apparently backup animatronics that ended up being forgotten and were never used, alongside being idle for so long. They were all just like the Toy animatronics' base appearances. Remanent got an idea to make two guardians for himself using these backup animatronics. A few days later, two creations were born: Toymare-A and Toymare-B. Remanent made his way out of the building, with the two Toymares following him.

The third and final location was the first SHPP building, a place he felt would help him figure out that something he had in mind. The building wasn't too good in condition, being closed for so long. Remanent and the Toymares roamed across the building for anything that would help him, but it resulted in a failure, until Remanent remembered the fact a hidden area was in the building. He told the Toymares to go somewhere safe and rest first, before heading to that area. He never went past the hallway, until now. What he had found was the very room he was born from, the room where the clones were made.

Remanent was happy, but also worried it didn't work anymore. However, he knew there was a chance, so he put the bodies of the dead clones to the room, but soon after he felt like something was missing. He would be roaming the location again, looking for another thing to help him. Around an hour later, he suddenly realized something: Clone Luigi is actually alive. Soon after, Remanent would have a bit of a crisis on how to feel about this. Would he feel happy, or mad? To find him, or not to find him? Should he still live, or should he be killed? The stress was constantly building up in his head, until he heard an echoing voice coming from the formerly hidden area. He quickly made his way to the hallway, only to hear nothing.

He thought the echos were a hallucination, so he decided to make his way to the nearby room to fulfill his goal, until...

???: "It looks like something is wrong..."
Remanent: "What do you mean something is wrong? There's already a lot of things that just seem confusing."
???: "Perhaps I should introduce myself...or should I say...reintroduce myself..."

The mysterious voice revealed itself. It was none other than Golden Sonic, now in a horrifying appearance that even Remanent felt intimidated by.

'30 Golden: "I see that you are simply seeking for something...ANYTHING to fulfill yourself before death. Is that true?"
Remanent: "...why do I need to answer that? Who the hell are you...?"
'30 Golden: "So you've forgotten about me, haven't you. Well...maybe you'll remember who I really am RIGHT NOW!!"

Letting out a roar worse than what Remanent could ever unleash, he quickly ran up to the clone and grabbed Remanent like he did to the real Sonic in 2027. Remanent was struggling to say a word, barely being able to speak as a result.

'30 Golden: "I was the one you not only betrayed, but also killed! Don't you know how horrible it is to experience a death like mine's...? I'm sure you will now."

And just like that, Remanent had his body end up broken, which his head still the same as it was a while before. His heart was also broken due to this, leading to Remanent facing his death. '30 Golden dropped the now dead clone, taking the body to the room Remanent was about to enter once more. He had all of the clones he needed, even taking control of both Toymares without Remanent noticing. His plans were just about to begin.

It took a bit, but '30 Golden figured out how to make the cloning machine still work good enough. Meanwhile, the souls of the clones, now joined by the soul of Clone Sonic, had witnessed what was happening. They felt a sense of promise, but it would lead themselves into a trap as they each decided to enter the tubes, where each clone would be reborn. '30 Golden, by this time, had now successfully created the nightmare clones. Bodies that were prisons to the souls of the clones, but servants to '30 Golden, made in his image as the perfect beings.

Knowing Clone Luigi was still alive, '30 Golden wanted to get rid of him before unleashing such threats on the world, so that way nobody could expect them coming or get rid of them before they can even cause any trouble. '30 Golden did a quick operation to get Clone Luigi out of his hideout, which was a success, leading to Clone Luigi learning a few things himself: the troubles he faced were never over.

Clone Luigi now has to defend for himself in order to survive, with the nightmare clones, Toymares, and '30 Golden himself being the main concerns. Clone Luigi however quickly got an idea to leave the location without a trace, and call authorities to get things back to normal. The battle between one clone and a group of hunters would mark its beginning.

- Part 3: Trivia on FNaS4G -

• Nightmare Mario's main concept surrounds upon the opposite idea of something like a bunny, which would be a coyote in this character's case.

• Nightmare Yoshi is based on Yoob, who came from the Mario & Luigi series, specifically Partners in Time.

• Nightmare Tails and Nightmare Knuckles are each based on various foes from the Resident Evil series. Nightmare Tails being based on the Ivan tyrants (Umbrella Chronicles), meanwhile Nightmare Knuckles is based on T.A.L.O.S. (Umbrella Chronicles) and Ustanak (RE6).

• '30 Golden is based on William Birkin's G-mutations (RE2), mainly the 2nd form. However, the pack-o'-eyes idea comes from forms 3 and 4.

• Since the announcement of the roster project's development being started, there has been around two months worth of development on the roster project.

• This is the first project to be made on a different application than Pixlr, which I used to make the roster projects for 1-3G. It is also a special roster project due to undergoing changes as I was switching programs to use for making art.

• Both Toymares have what would be like a rust texture applied to them. While the effect shares the same color and opacity, each of their rusty effect had different brightness levels.

• The canvas actually had to change in size once in order to have enough room for both the logo and all of the characters. The background had to be redone too, but it wasn't much of a hassle to do.

Welp, that's about it. Lots of time and effort was put into this roster project, and I couldn't possibly be more happier with the results. Sure, 2020 has been a tough year, but it hasn't stopped me and many others from doing what we love to do. However, there are things that matter out there, even beyond politics.

I still have content to make for MM+, being Greenlit Toy Mario and Ribboron, and now I may end up having some more open time to work on it all. There's been quite the collection of AUs as a result of Greenlit Chronicles coming to be, some of them I personally like a lot!

- Part 5: The Epilogue -

Clone Luigi had successfully survived, left without a trace, and got authorities after the nightmarish group. The nightmare clones had all been captured and returned to normal, we all signs of evil gone from them, with their souls free and back into such better bodies (with new appearances). The clones would now reside in their own home.

Both Toymares were also found by authorities, but rather destroyed. The scraps were simply left to be, and so was the location. The clones had finally met their happy ending, but something's...off.

Golden Sonic was nowhere to be seen, and nobody had even found him. While Clone Luigi and the other clones remember them, Clone Luigi didn't tell the authorities about the golden clone specifically, so they had no clue Golden Sonic was there before.

However, poor Golden had reached his deadline when it came to his body. While he managed to disappear and get somewhere safe, his body painfully melted into nothing more than a blob of cloning material. But the thing is...Eggman still possessed the body, and with such a great mind, he would discover an opportunity to now fully control the body, which was a successful one at that. The body was now under his full control, now capable of gaining abilities due to easy modification of genetics.

A new form would be created, dubbed "Shadow Sonic". Eggman had an idea to start a dimensional crisis of some sort, but he would need to get whatever Golden Sonics he could to ensure success. And so a new plan was formed, starting with Shadow Sonic going back in time to get as many Golden Sonics as he had needed...

The story goes back in time, and into another dimension as it continues in FNaS5G... (coming whenever)
