Flink Marko… a desperate man who just wants to help his dying daughter, Penny, as a result of an unspecified disease. He has a troubled marriage with his wife Emma because of his financial problems and life of crime. While on the run from the police after escaping from prison, he accidentally fell into a scientific machine that accidentally turned him into the Sandman. Yeah, this may not be an impressive origin… but this transformation granted him sand-like powers that make him nearly indestructible; as such, he can shapeshift his sandy body into weapons, turn himself giant, turn his hands into snakes, or sometimes… he can turn himself into an actual snake! Have any of you guys heard the phrase “Go pound sand”?
Well, it’s not really something that can be easily done. Unless… his weakness, for example, is whenever water was poured on him, he would turn into mud! Spider-Wolf started to feel guilty when he realized that Sandman was trying to cure Penny… because like the Prowler, Marko also has some good intentions even though he was a criminal to find a way to make a living for his beloved daughter. Remember… he's not a bad person, he just had bad luck……
