Hello once more!
Alright so what's with this "legacy demo" nonsense?
Basically, there's been some developments behind the scenes, and to put it blunt, there were some hinderances when developing FNAC FUR using the Clickteam Fusion game engine. I'm not gonna go into details, but these issues could not be ignored, so I was forced to move the game over to a new engine, namely GameMaker.
Now, I know this is the last type of news anyone waiting for a shiny new game wants to hear. However... I have used this new engine for many years already. (Anybody remember that little duck game I made years ago? That was GameMaker!)
I am happy to have made this engine transition, as this has left me without any limitations when developing the game.
So what does this ultimately mean? Well, there are some things I will be able to improve from the old build, and luckily, the section of the game that I had already planned for an eventual demo was already complete. So the "legacy" part of this demo is that it represents a sliiightly older vision for the game, but not by that much.
Also, there may or may not be a few tiny slight minimal glitches in this demo... but nothing that breaks the game, I'm sure. Nonetheless, I ask that you refrain from reporting any issues to me, as I won't fix them. I'm releasing the demo "as is".
Happy 9th anniversary of FNAC! I hope you enjoy the demo.
(It should be available for download from the game page.)
