follow-up to https://gamejolt.com/p/7xndwixs:

i made my own Back button design.

it should stand out very good even at small sizes
but still look like a button that can really be pressed.

a combination of the old #FrutigerAero style with modern #Design knowledge.

Alt text:

three glassy UI buttons on a plain white panel.

the buttons have a slight top-down perspective effect so you can better tell they're buttons.
the background panel is completely flat — except for a subtle gradient which makes it a bit darker and bluish at the bottom — so you can tell it isn't interactive.
the buttons look like they could be sideways elevator controls.
the buttons all have soft, rounded shapes.
the buttons all have a black outline printed on their top surface.

from left to right:

  • blue Back button that is shaped like a left‑pointing triangle

  • a small vertical rectangle that is colored white. the top surface has three dots printed in black, indicating a dropdown menu

  • blue Forward button that is shaped like a right‑pointing triangle

(by the way, ¿anyone else mastodoning they social?)
