As the title suggests, we have big news, and good news at that. Demolitale Brown Director Purrsum, also our programmer, is building a new engine for us to use for all Demolitale games. Not only will we have full access to it, but it will also be used in some of Purrsum’s projects like Undertale Purple and Undertale Blue (the one I gave him the rights to). Some of you may be groaning right now, due to us starting again, but when Purrsum has time- which is often- he likes to work on his own projects and Demolitale. This means we’ll most likely have more work done faster, and with the new engine coming, all three games will be able to begin their programming phases. The good thing is also that Purrsum doesn’t have to do it all. He plans to have a user manual for other programmers to be able to read up on and understand. Isn’t this all exciting?
I apologize for the setback, but I feel this path is really worth taking. As a final statement: we will not use Soup’s engine, for our convenience and to respect his property, and we will use Purrsum’s engine. Thank you, Purrsum, and thank you for following the development of Demolitale and its sibling titles, and I will see you in the next devlog / minilog. : )
