Progress Update
Hello everyone; I thought I’d make a quick update regarding the game again.
Progress has been going (so far) really well (touch wood), and I’m happy with how the game is so far. However, I don’t want to jinx anything ha.
I thought I’d make a list of things for you all about this new full version, just to give you an idea on the new content.
New Features/Changed Features:
Tutorial text has been changed (mainly when at the bed).
Hard mode and Polter mode have been added.
New collectables have been added, corresponding with the new modes.
There is now an ending.
Intro changes, plus a new intro prior to the original one (a bit of lore stuff).
New lore (for those who may have wanted to know a bit more about that ha).
Extras menu (unlocked once the player has completed the game), with options to view all the jumpscares, unused renders and other renders (plus a thank you message).
Main-menu has been changed somewhat (new music plus other small details).
New sounds.
New cut-scenes.
New music.
New renders (both in-game and in cutscenes).
Current Thoughts:
Overall, I am much happier with the results of this game so far; however, I won’t be jumping to the release in the same way I have done with prior games and builds. I am still, very sceptical about the release date; and I do know there’s going to be some teething problems with the first release (whenever that may be). But hopefully I can continue to update the game if the changes are necessary.
Note that with the game’s difficulty, I will not be changing this to make it easier for people. I don’t mean that in a harsh way, it’s just that the game would be too easy if I did that (and it just wouldn’t be as challenging that way).
However I will be making updates if there are in-game issues/game breaking bugs preventing players from actually progressing properly.
That’s mainly it for now; I will be making more updates as time goes on. :)
