Future of the game - boss fighting space game

Hello to anybody who accidentally stumbled upon this!

This project of mine SpaceSomething began as a teaching project to get finally proper Unity knowledge on it.
And as many weekends passed by I started to feel that it would be a pity to throw away all that work so now I’m here: Trying to decide and properly design a whole game from it.

So far I think I have a solid base for fun combat system. I would like to work on the flow with an aim at fatality of the combat in order to create a need for evasion and constant movement.

The core content I am considering now are boss battles every level should be one boss scene with multiple phases but not focused on the boss alone. Small enemies or random drops will provide a reward in form of resources which will be used for buying rockets/EMP bombs/etc…

Boss spaceship won’t be so active when the player isn’t attacking, this is going to provide some space for “farming” resources. Limited weapons can be used against ordinary enemies but they will be necessary for defeating a boss or getting into another stage.

Those are my thoughts on it so far. Don’t know if it’s going to be as fun as I imagine but there it is finally some concept about it I’m going to start with implementation soon.

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?
