Game idea; it's all in the article, and i mean ALL of it (i wrote alot so just prepare yourself) feel free to nitpic on some stuff that you want or need to be tweaked


About: you've found yourself in a strange place, looking like a park, no memories, no way back home, at least you think, while it has grown old, an entity has entered during the night; IT roams around it looking victims to feed on.

Gameplay: It plays similar to the rake and CHAIN; hide and run during the night, prepare and craft during the day, while roaming around the park, you can find sticks and metal scrap to build things, but sadly youll need blueprints for that.

Cash: cash is the in-game currency, which can be used to buy items, blueprints, and upgrades in the shop, repurchace items at the stand, and crafting.

Shop: this is where you can buy your gear and weapons; for a certain amount of cash, you may buy pre-made blueprints, fixed blueprints weapons, throwables, and placables, and also meet the shopkeeper, maybe get to know him, hes been alone for a while

Gear: $20 - 50 (some are level or survival locked)

Weapons: $150 - 250 (survival, blueprint, badge/gamepass and level locked)

Blueprints: $25 - 40

Recover items: $35

You cannot sell blueprints but selling items gives you half the amount you bought it for back, and recovering items does not recover event items and must be bought again

Day and night cycles: normal days would last 3 minutes and normal nights will last 5 minutes, bloodmoon nights will add 2 minutes to the existing night timer; and heatwave days will last 1 minute and 30 seconds

Bloodmoon and heatwave: during a bloodmoon, IT is slightly faster and deals more damage, up to 20 - 30 damage; bloodmoon activates when IT is damaged too much and will activate after users nearly "kill" it, heatwave days will damage you if your outside and not in a structure or tree, up to 2 - 4 damage every 5 seconds, with a vest it will take up to 8 seconds and deal up to 1 - 2 damage

Stamina: works the same like in the rake and CHAIN, once you run out, you will be winded and wont gain any stamina back for back before 1.5 seconds

Deaths: dying will take away $5 and will delete your items, but items can be recovered via the shop

Blueprints: blueprints can be scattered around the map in pieces, but once you've found every piece; you can bring it to the shop to have it fixed, with a fixed blueprint, you can start crafting said item on it, which can range to offensive weapons like a knife, defensive placables/throwables like beartraps or flash grenade to supportive items like a medkit to help others or yourself, while finding blueprint pieces are free, you can also buy pre-made ones for a price, and some are locked behind levels

Power: the max is 100% but can be upgraded with a toolbox (purchacable via shop) it can get uprgraded up to a max of 200% (+25% every tool box used), once the power is out, every single light will be turned off and will need to be fixed, if you decide to fix it, you will be put into a QTE (quick time event); you need to time the corresponding key, button, or spot on your screen by clicking it, you will need to do this 10 times to fully fix the power, missing said button, key, or spot will alert IT

Levels: Its just like CHAINS level system, each class maxes out at 25 and you gain xp by fighting, surviving, trapping IT, helping others, and landing throwables. When reaching a certain level, you can buy and unlock tools, items and gear to help you survive.

Survival: gain $50 if you survive and gain 1 survival, while it wont do anything for release; it will have a use for future gear

Entities: The predators which roam the map, hunting their pray and showing no mercy

Main entity stats (name TBA)

Health: 650

Speed (walk - run): 15 - 20.5 (17 - 23 if bloodmoon)

Damage: 10 - 20 (increased to 20 - 30 if bloodmoon)

Passive: life steal

This entity can heal itself via attacking and killing survivors; hitting grants it 5 hp; killing grants it 65 health back, hitting a parry will heal 50, and hitting a stalk will heal it 90

Passive 2: blood thirsty

It can sniff the air, smelling its pray thats nearby (105 studs) if a user its near, players using voice chat will increase the stud range if they're talking (115 studs) if it smells or hears a player, it will stalk them

Ability: stalk

The entitiy will crouch, making nearly no sound and is near invisable, attempting to sneak up on a user, if it catches the user off guard, it will bite a chunk off the player, eating the chunk whole; dealing 40 damage and will cause you to bleed 10 damage, dealing a total of 50 damage, so be weary and look around for IT

Ability 2: parry

This entity can parry your attacks, a noise will play and will make a stance; letting the user know the next attack will be parried, if the user attacks, it will stab them with its claws and slash them multiple times, leaving them injured and ragdolled (deals 30 damage to player)

Classes: these can change up your gameplay depending on what you choose

Loner: these type of classes rely on themselves and abilities to survive

Battle: this type depends on their skills to try to kill IT or to help others get away while holding IT off, making it a nice class if used correctly

Support: this class depends on giving others boosts or health back to help either kill IT or just to help with survival

Normal (main class, abilities will come with release)

Loner class

Stamina: 100

Speed: 15 - 22

Health: 100

Toggle ability: scan (level 5)

Scrap and sticks get highlighted for 5 seconds every 30 seconds

Ability: enhance (level 10)

Take out your flash light and make it brighter; aiming it at an entity will blind it, slowing it and giving you time to run

Active for 5 seconds, can cancel early for a lower cooldown

Cooldown: 25 - 50 seconds

Starts with flashlight (every class starts with a flashlight)

Scout stats (release of classes)

Loner class

Stamina: 85

Speed: 17 / 20 - 24 / 27

Health : 80

Passive: flimsy

"Come get some ya frickin wuss!"

This class is faster, but has less hp, stamina, and defence (-2 defence)

Passive 2: professional

"I know what to do, dont worry!"

This class uses items and weapons faster

But weapons do less damage (-3 damage)

Ability: speed boost

"Come on, step it up!"

Increases your speed by 3; but drains your stamina a tad bit faster, making escaping IT better, lasts for 7 seconds, cooldown is 60 seconds

Doesnt stack with adrenaline or soda

Cost: $1550

Fighter stats (release of classes)

Battle class

Stamina: 115

Speed: 15 - 21

Health: 125

Passive: aggressive

This class does more damage with weapons (+2 damage), but is slower while holding a weapon

Passive 2: beefy

"Now that? Thats muscle"

This class gains 4 defence, more stamina and health, with the downside of being slower and regenerating both stamina and health slower

Ability: parry

"Give me your best shot"

Hold your arms up, blocking any attack, if successful; push any entity back 25 studs, dealing 10 damage and stuns it for 2 seconds, cooldown is 65 seconds, use this only in dire situations to avoid fatal damage

Cost: $1450

Medic stats (class update)

Support class

Stamina: 120

Speed: 16.5 - 22.5

Health: 80

Passive: helpful

"J-just doing my job!"

Everytime this class uses their patch up ability on a player; they will gain $5, maxes at $20 per night

Passive 2: kindhearted

"Let me help! your hurt"

If healing a player; they will start regenerating slowly when patch up is over

Ability: patch up

"Hold still, these look bad"

Take out a mini medkit and start healing the select player nearby, after 6 seconds, the player will heal 45% of their max hp

Cooldown: 60

Ability 2: self patch

"Better care for myself too..."

Takes out their own medkit and starts patching themselves up, after 4 seconds, the player heals 35 health

Cooldown: 120

Starts with a medkit

Price: $2050

Jokester stats (class update)

Support/battle class

Stamina: 65

Speed: 13 - 20

Health: 135

(This class is better to use with a group, make sure to assemble with a couple people before choosing this class)

Passive: light feet

"Hehe, sneaky as a thief!"

This class will make little to no sounds, making it unable to be detected unless spotted by IT

Passive 2: fun bar

"Come on, lets make this fun!"

This bar will go up after you use joke on a players or the entity allowing you to utilize some abilities (maxes at 30)

Ability: ballon animal (10 fun required)

"Anyone fancy a giraffe or dog?"

Using this will allow you to choose a color, once picked; you will br slowed heavily while making a ballon animal, when its done, you can drop it to pop it, depending on color, it will give a buff to players around it (excluding other jesters), all stat buffs last for 15 seconds

Red: strength enhancement

Blue: stamina regeneration

Yellow: speed buff (+2 speed)

Pink: grants 25 hp

Cooldown: 45 seconds

Ability 2: jack attack (15 fun needed)

"Watch your step, here come the jacks!"

Throw 3 - 5 jacks onto the ground, if IT steps on one, it will slow it heavily and damage it (2 damage), utilizing this correctly will make this incredibly powerful

Cooldown: 80 seconds

Ability 3: joke

"Hear about the fire in the circus, it was inTENTS!"

Using this will stagger you, making you unable to move, but while being used, you will gain the ability to tell a joke (20 stud range all around), this will make some laugh; increasing your fun bar (adds 3 to the bar per player in the radius; +6 if the entitiy is in the radius) and regenerating their stamina (20% of their stamina), while if the entity is inside, it will slow it and give you a speed boost for 2 seconds (+2 speed)

Cooldown: 75 seconds

Price: $2550

Admin (dev exclusive)

All rounder class

Stamina: 130

Speed: 17- 25

Health: 115

Passive: circle of luck

"Its them..."

Everyone around this class gains temporary buffs

Toggle ability: sneaky

"Dont mind me"

Isnt visable to any entities

(Can be toggled off and on)

Ability: ban hammer

"BAN!"

Spawns a ban hammer out of thin air, swinging it does massive damage to whoever it hits, including other players, one time use only, 180 second cooldown

Starts with a machete and upgraded Nightvision

Price: free if your a admin (not obtainable through normal means)

Sticks: sticks can be found on the ground, but can be used as a weapon if big enough, or be used to upgrade weapons, like turning your kitchen knife into a machete

Scrap: works like in the rake and CHAIN, picking up scrap can be a level from 1 - 6 which gives a certain amount, to be sold into cash or be used to build items.

Loot boxes: these are scattered around the map, only one can spawn via flare; but you must wait a 3 minutes to spawn another, and only be opened once before despawning and spawning sticks, its loot can very with each box

Common loot:

Scrap and sticks and cash; up too $35

Uncommon loot:

Cash; up too $55, dull kitchen knife, common blueprint pieces

Rare loot:

Cash; up too $75, sharp kitchen knife, dull machete, pocket knife, rare blueprint pieces

Fighting: Using weapons will drain stamina, which will make fighting IT a bit difficult depending if your running a class or not, most weapons will be able to parry IT's attacks, negating damage to you and damaging it (based off the passives in CHAIN's weapons), parrying will drain a bit more stamina along with swinging, blocking can negate damage depending on the weapons strength but has a couple frames where it can negate all damage and stun it; making it a valuable skill if used correctly, its recommended to fight IT with a group, but if your up for the challenge to do it on your own, good luck.

Weapons: These can be used to damage or stun IT, damage can be done to gain more cash after the night, but your risking your life to battle it. (Some weapons will come out in other updates)

Sticks (weapon): Not the best use of your materials, but its what you have...

Light stick stats

Durability 5 (3 uses)

Uses 5 stamina

Damage: 4 - 6

- 1.5 durability every hit

Heavy stick stats

10 durability (5 uses)

Uses 10 stamina

Damage: 6 - 8

- 2 durability every hit

Swinging with this heavily slows you; but stuns IT for 2.5 seconds, so use it wisely

Blocking breaks it immediately ignoring durability and negates damage completely

(If frame perfect, the stick doesnt break)

Metal weapons: these weapons have no durability, but will grow dull after hitting IT x amount of times. (Once dull, it can be sharpened via item or crafting)

Kitchen knife stats:

Swing cooldown: .5

Uses 8 stamina

damage: 6 - 8

Dulls after 20 - 25 hits

Damage after dulled: 1 - 3

Blocks: -5 damage

Can be upgraded to the machete

Machete:

Craftable with kitchen knife and scrap

Swing cooldown: 1 second

Uses 13 stamina

Damage: 7 - 9

Dulls after 35 - 40 hits

Damage after dulled: 3 - 5

Blocks: - 10 damage

Block cooldown: 3 seconds

Cannot be upgraded

Pocket knife stats (future update)

Craftable and can be found in lootboxes

Damage: 1

Swing cooldown .3

Cannot become dull

Cannot parry IT's attacks

Cannot block

Passive: life savor

When IT strikes with a fatal blow, take out your pocket knife, blocking its attack and start swinging it before stabing it after, stunned for 3 seconds after animation, giving you time to run

Damage after animation: 15

Fueled weapons: instead of having durability or going dull, these weapons instead run on gas or something else

Chainsaw stats (future update)

Gamepass/badge item (survivals needed: 135)

Runs on gas

Max: 90%

Uses 1% of gas every 15 seconds its equipped

Damage: 19 - 21

Swing Cooldown: 1.5 seconds

Uses 21 stamina

Blocks all damage and stuns for 1.5 seconds (stun time stacks with frame perfect stun)

Cooldown: 5 seconds - 10 seconds

Once out of gas, you must refill it in the shop or a gas pump (spawns randomly)

Gear: These items can help you survive the night, to help escape, stun and/or damage IT or take more hits.

Throwables: these are ranged, which can explode or hit from afar, explosions damage and stuns IT for a while

Flash grenade stats

User gains 1 if bought from shop

maxes at 2

Cannot be unequipped once pin is pulled

Damage AoE: 5

Direct damage w/AoE damage: 12

Takes 1 second to explode

Stun time: 5 seconds

Blinds user if in the AoE

Blinds and damages user 5 - 10 if over grenade

Grenade stats

User gets 1 if bought from shop

max is 2

Cannot be unequipped once pin is pulled

Explosion AoE: 12

Direct hit w/AoE damage: 24

Takes 3 seconds before it explodes

Stun time: 7 seconds

Damages user 10 - 35 if in AoE

Downs user if over the grenade

Vest stats

Grants user +25 hp and 5 defence

Can be upgraded via crafting w/ blueprint (level 5)

Upgraded stats: +50 hp and 10 defence

Soda stats

Takes 3 seconds to drink/use

Grants inf stamina and speed up user by 1 for 6 seconds

Can stack with adrenaline

Adrenaline stats

Takes 5 seconds to use

Grants 25% of stamina back and speeds up user by 4 for 5 seconds and winds user for 2.5 seconds

Can stack with soda

Medkit stats

User gains 1 if bought from store, max is 2

Takes 8 seconds to use but it heals you or an ally slowly to full health

Backpack

Can only be found in loot boxes (except scout)

Grants the user +5 more space and allows the player to store items into it (weapons cannot be stored into it)

Can be upgraded via crafting

Upgraded stats

Grants +10 more space (weapons can be stored)

Damaged veriant (scout only)

Adds +3 space and cannot put items into it

Can be upgraded to default backpack

Nightvision goggles uses

Allows the user to see all around them up too 150 studs while emitting a green glow with a limited battery

Can be upgraded via crafting w/ blueprint

Can now see up too 300 studs and the battery limit is increases

Knife sharpener uses

Can sharpen the kitchen knife and machete, but can only be used 5 times before breaking

Can be upgraded

Can be used 10 times and keeps its sharp longer

Placables: Can be used and placed down anywhere in the map, allowing you to stun and damage IT from anywhere.

Beartrap stats

User gains 2 if bought from shop, gains 1 if crafted, maxes at 4 (one can be placed once per night)

Damages if stepped on

Entity: 10 - 15

User: 5 - 10

Can be upgraded via crafting (level 2)

Damage if stepped on

Entity: 15 - 25

User: 10 - 20

Landmine stats

Survival count: 50

User gains 1 if bought from shop, maxes at 4 (one can be placed once per night and must be in an open area)

Can be crafted with scrap and sticks, maxes at 3

Indicates entity to everyone within 150 studs for 5 seconds

Along with abilities, passives, and even the dull machanic if it gets backlash

Npcs: Characters you can interact with to get lore, tips, or tasks which can grant you items, cash, and/or blueprints depending on the difficulty of said task, exclusively for events, there will be a characrer inside the shop giving a task, compleating will grant you the event badge and a hint to the events secret, interacting with them again will repeat the hint

Events: there will be planned limited time events, where you can get badges or gamepasses for items (all will be free as well with said badges and/or survivals and will come back every year)

Gamepass: while some gear will have gamepasses; buying them is an option, gear that have gamepasses can be bought for free with a count of survivals or badges, if you have both the gamepass and said survivals/badge, the item will be extremely cheep to buy with cash.

Saving: when leaving, your cash and items are saved, while items need to be repurchased in the shop, be careful, as leaving with items during the night doubles the amount to repurchace them($70)

Endgame: Your escape wont come easy, once youve reached level 15 (wont be able to level up after until you escape) you will gain the ability to see artifact pieces for a blueprint, once you find all 6, you can craft a blueprint for a odd scroll, which can seal IT in a bloodmoon (will take 12 seconds) and have it be trapped inside the scroll forever and an escape will be available (grants user the ability to level up again, up too 25 and gives $550, but your items are permanently deleted, which means they cannot be recovered in the shop and must be bought again)
