Game Update Ver 1.5.0


This is the second biggest update to prepare for World 2. While you may not need to reset your progress.(Which if you would like to do so, I included a keybind for that, if you press the delete key in the main menu it will DELETE YOUR SAVE. ) I can't say for certain if the game will still work properly if you do not. With the new level progression system it changes a LOT. This SHOULD really only be level progression. So ideally it should be fine.

Version Additions:

The game now runs on Unreal Engine 5

  1. The way that level progress is stored has completely changed. This was necessary to ensure multiple worlds could be created.

  2. The damage system for zombies has been COMPLETELY rewritten, this new system allows for a much better setup for buffs and debuffs.

  3. Major UI updates, animations, and reworks

  4. A new level modifier! Zombie Speed Multiplier: Increase zombie movement speed for your level

  5. Armor Grid items have been updated to work with certain zombies, zombies that dont start with armor can now pick up the item ONCE.

  6. Finally added a bunch of sounds to different things

  7. Lawn mowers got a much needed visual update, sounds, and spawn particles and animations. This includes an optional random lawnmower color setting.

  8. Massive visual update for Sunflower Street

  9. New Halloween Plant - Grumpkin - Grumpkin is a tanky AOE that stuns zombies around him

  10. In game zombies and world map zombies now have holiday skins

Version Fixes:

  1. Plants no longer get added to roster upon right clicking

  2. Plant trace ticks have been increased from checking every frame to once every .2 seconds to hopefully reduce some load

  3. Actually took some time to redo the audio mixing for the sound settings, hopefully they cover everything.

  4. Reworked how the Gamjolt API works, you don't need to login now to get access to the holiday and shiny odds, as well as changing the main menu based on the holiday.

  5. You no longer need to hold shift to keep your current zombie selection in the editor. I have no idea why I made it like that in the first place.

  6. Completely reworked the main menu loading to account for holiday menus

  7. Adjusted some Main menu UI

  8. Updated the world plant unlock graphics

  9. Settings Menu updated. Should give a little more control for how the game looks and performs

  10. Coffin zombies will now eat once the coffin is broken.

  11. Fixed knockback

  12. Due to Sharkbox being incredibly smart, levels can no longer be exported if they are blank.

  13. Fixed a bug with focus whenever you start a level (ex. having to click the fast forward twice.)
