One thing I recommend that all devs do is make some kind of timeline - flowchart for their game/software. That is if its a massive project. That way you don't get lost when making it, and you can use it to color code parts of what the game is, if that part if being worked on or finished in the development pipeline.
Currently I'm re working out the flow of the game itself by re doing the flowchart. Making sure to add in notes or lists for parts of each play map.
Once I am done with this chart, I can pretty much get started on the re work of the game itself.
Once I finally get to about 50% for the new rework I will be asking for some play testing. I have recently made a play test form that you could fill out to give me feedback to help fix the game.
Alright time to get another cup of coffee and finish this up so I can get started on it soon.
