Going Episodic, Episode 1 nearly complete.

I’ve spent the last few months completely re-doing the game’s levels, and I’m almost done! Sort of.

The level-designing process has proven very tedious (designing the level, drawing any needed textures, testing and revising it, then going through the entire game to make sure that it works 100% correctly). I’ve realised that it’s going to be a long time before the game is totally complete. In the time I’ve spent working on these levels, I’ve probably completed only 30-40% of the campaign that I have planned. The development of this game will lead into 2018, even though the core game is pretty much done and I’m just making levels and textures/music for those levels.

I’ve also had urges to work on some side projects with the techniques I’ve learned from this game, and I really want to act on those urges, but I want to finish this game. So, I’m working on wrapping up the maps I have so far, making some final touches and such, and then I’ll release them as the first episode. Following episodes will come in the form of updates, not separate packages, so make sure to follow the game for any updates.

Expect Episode 1 to drop this week

Thanks for listening,

Working on new textures and decorative tiles.

Max's temple is getting spookier... I’ve been working on a spooky library maze in the temple, here’s a little peak at it. See video footage at https://twitter.com/SiliconOdysseys/status/923076735419129856

Enemies can also suddenly spawn through Realm Rifts. These Rift Spawns are going to be stronger than the ones wandering around. TBD on the enemies... #screenshotsaturday #godstear #madewithunity

Finished a project I've been working on over the last few days!

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)
