Hey all! Today is a special day, and it's special because the second demo of Gooter is finally out! Here are pretty much all the changes since the last build in December:
We are now in the fourteens, baby! WOO!
All of the World 1 levels (except for the "boss" stage) are playable! They will change over time, but this means we can finally move on to Moon Forest in future builds!
Adjusted several levels and moved the level order around.
The score is now hidden unless you hold down right-click.
A new version of "Awaken Into The Fields" now plays!
Soobers have been updated! They no longer fly through walls!
Roguts' eyes now glow blue similarly to how they did before.
Roguts also have an 1/11 chance of spawning with a hat. I don’t know if this should stay, though, but I think it adds some more fun and variety to the common enemy when costumes are involved. Let me know your ideas (if you want creature costumes to stay and be expanded upon), but please keep them simple! :)
New animations for Gooter himself!
Metal crates are back! A tougher variant of the wooden crate, they appear in later levels of World 1 and take longer to destroy (2x as much to be precise). They will be more predominant in World 2 when that comes.
Corrupted Roguts are back as well! A tougher yet slower variant of the Rogut, they also appear later in World 1. They won’t appear (at most not that much) in World 2. They take longer to kill and can’t be killed by Barriers, but cannot go through any kind of crates or walls (for whatever reason they can’t fly like their regular counterparts). They also are not attracted to lanterns. They don’t spawn randomly, but rather in specific places. In the future, they will also spawn via gravestones.
Added clouds
You can no longer shoot while panning the camera.
Adjusted the collision (wall) object’s hitbox.
Removed unused audio files.
That’s all! If you have ANY issues/feedback PLEASE tell me. I want to make my game as enjoyable as I can make it, and if nobody tells me what they think needs fixing then I can’t do anything about it. Also, please share this game with your friends if you have enjoyed it. I want as many people as possible to play this game, so please spread the word! Thank you and I will see you soon!
