2020, what a year...
I'm sure all of us are happy that this terrible year finally comes to an end, but unfortunately we still need to live with this dumb virus thingy until it finally decides to take a NICE LONG BREAK and leave us alone for good. Wash your hands, wear your masks, and stay safe everyone!
My experience
Even though this year mostly sucked, It still had some cool moments that I will never forget.
Endfall, my personal project finally released it's demo in September 20th, 2020. It was received very well, and in total got over 2,000 downloads, which is absolutely insane considering the fact that this is my first ever public game.
I never expected the game to get so much love, it got YouTube videos made about it, it got featured on Itch.io! it got to be on two live game showcases, (Puerto Rico Games Showcase and the Latinx In Gaming Unidos Online Showcase) and even some cool fan art!
The best thing is, that I still have some huge plans for this game and I'm excited to show you all the crazy things that happen in this magical world.
This game literally started as a quick small game that I wanted to release before making my actual dream game, which some of my friends know already😏
But for now, we'll focus on making Endfall, one of the most awesome, wackiest, weirdest, emotional, experiences you've ever had.
I hope that I can finally release the first chapter of this journey on 2021... hopefully...
This year also kind of benefited me in a weird way, I have a lot of social anxiety and I can't interact with people really well, so staying at home wasn't really a big deal for me. Online classes actually helped me become friends with a lot of people to the point where we were calling each other almost every single day just to play some games together.
It was awesome to finally not be the one who sits on the bench on the main hallway of the school just to look at his phone all day. I finally had some friends that I could rely on.
Conclusion
So yeah, that's all I have to say about 2020. I hope 2021 can be better for all of you.
Thank you for following, playing my game, supporting my art and reading all of this.
Adios y Feliz Año Nuevo! 🇵🇷
