Greetings, our favorite Hardcore People!
It’s been a while since I posted a news update, so I apologize for that =)
Long story short: right now we are developing our side-project - Killwich High. It’s a game about demon, which can possess people to perform some illegal and fun actions to get highest score.
Don’t be shocked, please. Don’t. It’s cool.
Why the hell are we making another game instead of HASTE?
1) HASTE requires much higher precision for new features implementation, and in order to test them I need some sort of playground. Killwich is a game that does look nothing like HASTE - and that’s why it’s very suitable for testing new stuff. I can add new feature and see it working right in the action, and be sure, that this feature is universal for any of my games.
2) Killwich is actually fun to play - it’s as difficult and funny as we (and you, presumable) love. When I feel tired from coding HASTE or from my regular job - I keep catching myself playing my own game instead other cool ones, so I decided to update Killwich, and successfully did that a week ago (added new animations, sounds, items, special effects, interface and squished most of the bugs).
3) I’ve found very useful pieces of software that I definitely must have in order to create HASTE faster and better (basically to make it the way I originally imagined it), and that software may be not the that expensive, but the current currency exchange course could rip the most part of my family budget, so after few discussions we agreed to make a smaller game to fuel HASTE up… But it doesn’t mean that Killwich is the game that we develop for quick cash and forget - we work on it as hard as we do on HASTE, it just has more cartoony style, but under the hood I pack it with tons of cool programatical stuff and humor.
4) I feel kinda dried out. My imagination works much like an accumulator battery. It charges when I code something cool, so after few months of Killwich we’ll put HASTE development on full throttle.
Hope you understand.
HASTE is not abandoned - my team would rather glue me to the chair and keyboard than allow me to do that :D
Seriously - we’ll continue soon.
You can find Killwich in my games library or by this link: http://gamejolt.com/games/killwich-high/80050
See ya later!
Eugene.
