Omori is another one of those games that I really want to play, but I just don’t. I’ve been wanting to play this game ever since I saw NitroRad, of all people, talk about it. It’s been almost 5 years now (jesus), and I have still not touched this game at all. It’s sitting there, dusting away, just like all the other games I say I’m gonna play one day but never do. One day… one day…..
But enough about that let’s talk about Headspace Night, a fnaf fangame based on Omori. Heisen really wanted me to play this game, and when I did, I thought it was worthy of a review. So, without further ado, let’s start.
The first thing you see when you boot up the game is a man being hit in the head and getting severe brain damage from it oof.

We don't have a menu it's straight to the custom night.

Speaking of it yeah, this is a custom night game, or an, uh… gulp… MML game. But fear not! Headspace Night has state of the art balancing, making sure you can beat all the challenges. You just gotta trust me on this one.
As you can see, we’ve got 18 different characters, with only 6 of them being available at the start. Just uh… ignore the other 12.
We also have 15 challenges, which are the game’s main way of progressing (duh). So let’s start with the first challenge, simply called Best Friends, featuring these goobers.

Here's are office! ignore the giant cat watching he can't hurt you.

One positive out of the way the game looks very, very good. I love the art style. Me like Me very like.
Onto the characters. First, we got Omori.
If you ever see him at the left Vast Forest, close the left door until he stabs the door and leaves.

For headspace Aubrey use the pepper spray on her when she shows up in the office NO mercy.

Headspace Kel and Hero are a bit more unique, for Kel whenever a bright orange flash happens check the right vas forest junkyard or the orange oasis till you find him, when you do simply click on him.

For Hero he'll be at either sweethearts castle or deep well, when he's at either cam you have to put a Mari cutout to gaslight him into thinking she's still alive. wo wow bruh.

And yeah, that’s everyone. It’s pretty cool that even on the first challenge you already have to use a lot of the cams, and it’s also fairly fun too. The nights are pretty short, only taking 4 minutes, meaning they’re even shorter than ucn’s nights. just like travis custom night! everybody say thank you uncle heisen for forcing me to say this
Beating this challenge unlocks the actual irl Sunny and Mari, and the next challenge Eternal Picnic.

We got 4 new characters for this obviously these new guys AND Headsapce Mari and Basil.

For sunny check either the left or right vast forest if he's at either of them shut the door

Mari’s mechanic is really funny she’ll be falling down the stairs, and you gotta close the door the sounds are coming from. So, uh, get your headphones ready blud.
Headspace Mari is actually in your office for the whole night, from time to time she’ll ask for a fruit, and you gotta search every cam to find the fruit for her.

Basil is a silly lil goober he's at the left and right vast forests if he's not there no more check around your office when you find him click on him.

We beat the challenge and unlock 2 more characters Kel and mewo and the next challenge Mischief Mountain.

Kel is just a faster version of headspace aubrey so uh get your pepper spray ready.

The Mewo is kinda like a music box character there's a bar and you gotta recharge it if you don't you'll DIE.

You know the deal we beat the night get two new characters and a new challenge.

Captain Bitchboy is fairly simple he's discovered this new thing called rapping and is trying to make his own shitty mixtape whenever it stops playing YOU have to go put it on for him again just like a slave wow.

However, Pluto, on the other hand, is a dirty ahh diddy blud and arguably the hardest character in the whole game. Whenever he shows up in the office, he’ll strike a pose, and you gotta click on the buttons to match the exact same poses. Take too long or do it wrong, and you’re a dead man. Such a dirty ahh bald diddy blud.

We got 12 characters covered only 6 more to go already unlocked 2 of them and a new challenge.

Aubrey is another spray can character, except she comes directly from the doors. If you have them closed, she’ll break them, so keep them open when she’s about to come.

Hero’s mechanic is kiiiiiiiiiiiinda lame. He’ll be in the right Vast Forest, eventually coming to your right door. Just uh… close it. Yes, that’s seriously it lmao.

The only way he'd be a threat in any way is if you just forget to check on him which like, come on dawg you have a big boy brain use it USE IT.
For the next characters we got Ben the Beaver from five nights to remember and Something.

Ben the Beaver is pretty simple. Whenever he shows up in the office, you just have to shake your mouse left and right to get him to leave. If you don’t, he’ll take a photo and make your screen get all dizzy which basically kills you.
I personally liked the other CN exclusives like Bunnie and Stan a bit more, but Ben is cool too I suppose especially after he got buffed…..

Wait what the fuck am i talking about again? uhhhhhh moving on to Something....
It’ll make a sound cue and appear in four locations either the Left Vast Forest, the Junkyard, Deep Well, or the Pyrefly Forest. When you find it, click on it to send it away.

i REALLY hate myself for saying this but the first time i heard somethings sound cue it reminded of the hypno's lullaby fnf mod don't ask why please don't i know god won't forgive my sins but whatever......
We've finally unlocked the last two characters of the game Sweetheart and Mr Sawsum.

Sweethearts pretty easy to deal with, just look at her cam when she makes her sound cue

For mr jawsum he'll sometimes send you his shitty checks and you need to grab them from the office and feed them to him in his cam.

Now, while that’s everyone in the game, there’s still some other stuff I want to talk about before sharing my thoughts and ending the review. So, let’s start.
First of all, this is kind of a niche thing, but you can add custom music to the game and have it play while you’re playing. That’s cool I guess, not many games do that.

The game has a roguelike mode where you can do roguelike stuff. It has your usual features, like adding characters, making them aggressive, adding addons, having lives, and even some exclusives. Here’s my old abandoned shitty run…..

And finally, because this is an MML game, we have an Encore Mode that adds harder mechanics to every single character. I’ll go over them quickly right now.
Omori can now actually attack your door when you close it on him.
Headspace Aubrey attacks faster when you're in the cams.
Headspace Kel appears in all of his cams and you gotta get rid of him in each one.
Headspace hero will kill you instantly if you don't place the cutout for him.
Headspace Mari you have to get 3 fruits for her each one in a different cam.
Basil doesn't appear in the cams no more.
Sunny will attack the other side after attacking once.
Aubrey will instantly kill you if she gets to the doors.
Kel just moves faster. (lame)
Hero won't be visible in the right hall no more.
For Mari when she hits the door open it wait till she comes in and use the spray can on her.
For ben fntr you gotta move around for him TWICE.
For something you gotta chase it in all of its cams till you finally get it.
Mewo just takes more time to charge.
Captain Bitchboys mixtape will change cams now. (bastard)
Sweetheart goes to two places now instead of just one.
Mr Jawsums shitty check will appear in the cams.
And finally for the diddy blud himself pluto you gotta dance with him for long.
WOW that was long as hell anyway about time we wrap things up
so what do i think of a game?
well as a proud hater of most cn and mml games i'd say that i was pleasantly surprised with headspace night and just how good it really was when i first saw it in idk i think may or june? i thought it was gonna be just another shitty game for the mml goons having finally played it myself i'm really happy to say that the gameplay is good very good even all the mechanics are objectively super simple but when they're all put together they create a very fun gameplay loop the game is still hard especially the max mode which i still haven't beaten but still super fun game!
it gets a solid 8/10 from the bun thanks for reading and i'll see yall on the flipside sorry if this one was kinda short compared to my others but don't worry i have a lot more big boy games planned to cover
also you get something for beating for beating max mode on encore mode but i'm not gonna say what hehehehehehe
