Basically the idea of this AU is that most of the residents of Hometown went mad after a spell was cast onto the town. Kris, along with a few others resisted the spell, but had lingering effects.
Soon after the madness transpired, Kris' entire family was killed by a group of monsters. Plunged into despair, Kris tried to flee to Castle Town, but the fountain was destroyed right as they were about to transform, fusing both of their states into one, creating Kris, The Light Savior.
A powerful ability was introduced to Kris when they were transformed. Level of Virtue.
This is the ability that allows one to become stronger, more righteous, and counter the spell of madness cast upon Hometown.
