Hello and welcome to EchoTerror

Note: This was a prototype game made rather quickly for a game jam. I probably wont be moving forward with it as a game but I will take the echo mechanic and incorporate it into a future game I’m developing.

Hello and thank you for checking out EchoTerror, a game I made in twelve hours for the 2016 JameJolt Asylum Jam. When I discovered that the jam was going on the last day, I rushed to get as much done as possible.

In this game you use echolocation to navigate a pitch dark dungeon while avoiding monsters.

Stuff that will be fixed after the Jam is over :
*Sometimes you can still move around for a second after you’re dead. Doesn’t effect game play… It just looks weird.

  • Need to program in the ‘echo’ bounce back, I just didn’t have time.
    *A title screen

  • instead of ‘start’ text, it will indicate what level you’re on
A few more levels added that will be less maze’ish.
    A options menu

Special thanks to Echo the Dolphin and Dark Echo for the inspiration
I really like this concept and plan to incorporate it into Project Night in the near future.

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
